CORRIGAN WMU MEETS
The WMU of The First Baptiist
fhureh met at the church Monday
Otober, 10 with twelve ladies
present for an all day meeting
with a covered dish lunch for the
purpose of canning pears for the
orphans homes. They canned 5
bushels totaling 700 quart jars.
HAYRIDE AND WEINIE ROAST
FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE
Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ray, Mr.
and Mrs. Sherman Rodgers and
Mr. and Mrs. Butch Sltrsher spon-
sored a hay ride and weinie roast
for the young people of The First
Baptist Church Saturday night,
October 15th with 64 attending.
They left the church on a huge
float with an ample supply of hay
on it and went to the home of Mr
and Mrs. L. L. Jeanfreau, where
they roasted weinies and marsh-
mallows and played games and
reported a most enjoyable even-

The Corrigan Methodist Church
fs having series of revival ser-
vices this week, which begin at
7:30 p,m. There will be a different
speaker each night. Dr. Ed Math-
ison of Lufkin will speak Monday
night. Rev? Ben Behrens of Liv-
ingston will speak Tuesday night,
Dr. Grady Hallonquist, District
Superintendent, from Huntsville
will speak Wednesday night Dr.
C. A. West of Crockett on Thurs-
day night. Then on Rriday night
at 7:00 p.m. everyone is invited to
the week of prayer program.

Buddy Williams and Danny at-
tended a Williams family reunion
at Helmic Sunday honoring Mrs.
Florence Williams. Approximately
75 attended.
