What LIVINGSTON FOLKS Are Doing
Joyce and Sidney O’Neil of
Cleveland visited their aunt and
uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Mjlli-
ken, and other relatives last week.
Visitors from Akron, Ohio, in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hal
Kimes are Roland Cain and chil-
dren and Mrs. Bobbie Kimes who
is also visiting her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin Little.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hardy at-
tended the' 25th Homecoming at
Wellington last week end.
Mr. and Mrs. James Parker left
Friday morning for Amarillo
where Mrs. Parker will visit rela-
tives for two weeks. Mr. Parker
was met there Saturday by Louis
Gcrlach and J. D. Thornton and
the three left Amarillo the same
day for a ten-day fishing trip in
the mountain streams of Wyom-

Mrs. Isla Nichols returned Fri-
day from a months visit in Los
Angeles with her son, Jack Nich-
ols, who was recently trunsfeiTed
by Humble Oil. Co from Houston.
Mrs. Nichols, enroute home, vis-
ited in Temple and Stephenville.
Little Miss Cathy Carlisle of
La Marque has been visiting her
grandmother, Mrs. O. T. Carlisle*
for two weeks. Her parents, Mr
and Mrs. O. T. Carlisle, Jr., are
expected this wgpk.find and Cathy
Will accompany them home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Reuter, Sr.,
of Livingston and Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Butler of Point Blank are ex-
acted home this week end from
a six weeks vacation trip In thq
Pacific Northwest and in Califor-
nia.
Mrs. Doug Fain and children of
Corpus Christi are visiting her
parents, Mr. and'Mrs.'H. B. Davis,
Jr., and Mrs. Lois Fain this week.
Mr. Fain accompanied than to
Livingston for the week end. He
is a business visitor in Galveston
this week.

Camden Softball
Team Plays In
TFAA Tournament
August Stringer, manager of the
Camden Softball Team, reports
that the following men on the
team, Sam Martin, Justice Wade,
Robert Havard, Harold Hoffman,
Guy TreadUay. John Pruett, Lar-
ry Calvin, Ruddy Welch, Tilmuge
Lovett. John Davis, Juniuce Bea-
ty, of Camden, and Buddy Chis-
olm, Fred Smith and John Gard*
ner of Corrigan, played in' the
TFAA tournament at Tyler.
The first game was with the
Bell Telephone team of Kilgore
and was won with a score of 6-0
The second game with the All-
Stars of Marshall was won by
Camden with a score of 2-1.
Camden lost to Le Cuno Oil of
Jefferson 2-1. The game was tied
at the end of the 7th and went
to 12 innings. The Camden te.un
won a‘beautiful runner-up tro-
phy.
Le Cuno will go to the State
tournament at Sherman. Fred
Smith coached at Tyler.
Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Kimball
and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Kimball
and children visited Mr. and Mrs.
W. M Willenberg in Galveston
over the week end.
Jerry McKee, a student of
SHSTC, Huntsville, visited his
parents, Mr. and Mrs, J. H. Mc-
Kee over the week end.
Mrs. Ida Matthews of Houston
is visiting her sister, -Mrs. John
Crawford.
Mr. and Mrs. Winford Matthews
and children of Houston are visit-
ing Mrs. Matthews’ mother, Mrs.
A. M. Kerr of Leggett.
Mrs. Gregg Poe returned Satur-
day to her home in Houston after
several days visit with Mis. Bir-
die -Mae Wright and Mr, and
Mrs. R. S. Wright.
Mr. and Mrs. James Harold Mc-
Clammey and son Glenn df'Beau-
mont, were week end guests of
Mr. and Mrs Frank McClunimey
and Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Carr of
Baytown were Sunday guests in
the McClammey home.
Pat Peebles is visiting his aunt
and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. H. V.
Stallcup in Beaumont for several
days.
Mrs. Cleo Marlowk and baby
daughter, Ahna Louise, of Glade-

Mr. Marlowe was here tor a brief!
visit during the week enroute to
Corpus Christi and was accompa-
nied there by Mrs. Marlowe. They
returned Sunday and left Mon-
day for their home accompanied
by Anna Louise.
Little Misses Pat Hill and Lisa
Sandlin returned to their homes in-
Beaumont after a three weeks
vacation with their grand parents,
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Miles. Pat’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Underwood
Hill, were here Sunday to take
them home.
Mrs. Clara Parrish is in Pasa-
dena this week with her son, Carl-
ton Parrish, and his family. His
little daughter underwent a ton-
sillectomy Saturday and is re-
ported doing nicely.
Mr. And Mrs. Davis
Called To Louisiana
Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Davis, Jr.,
were called to Opeloussas. La.,
Tuesday due to the sudden death
of Mrs. Davis’ brother-in-law,
Mr. Dan Dorsey, Sr.
Mr. Dorsey died of a heart at-
tack.

and son Stephen left Friday for
Los Angeles California to visit his
brothei', Sidney Phillips. They
went by air, flying their own
plane. They will return home the
last of this week.
Mrs. R. W. Jones, Sr., has re-

stay in San Jose, California with
her daughter, Mrs. L. T. Stampfle
and family. Mrs. Stampfli will
be remembered ■ as Eleanor Jones.
