THOMPSON REUNION
The late Jerry Thompson and
Anna Orene't family reunion was
held on Sunday June 16 in the
home of Anna O. Thompson.

Sharon Thompson and their chil-

The group, which met May 21 in
the home of Lame Purvis, heard a
report on the DAR ROTC Award
from Lorena Sparkman. They also
accepted Jane McEacfacru as a new
member.
Present for the meeting, in addi-
tion to new officers, were Nancy
Evett, Allha Wilkersoo and Mrs.
McEachera.
The next meeting will be in
September.
S’vifle plans July 4
Family Fun Fair
Plans are being made for the
19th annual Stcphenville Fourth of
July Family Fun Fair which con-
sists of a parade, aits and crafts, a
variety of foods and activities for
all ages includes games, clowns,
magicians. 3-on-3 basketball and
4-on-4 volleyball and a bole-in-one
contest.
Musical entertainment will be
provided and a fireworks display
will end the evening.
A Firecracker 100 bike ride is
set for July 6.

He weighed 8 lb. 2 oz. and was

Nicki Mebone of Aus-
tin, Mr. and Mrs. J.A.

and Jim Fred Littleton and son, J.D., all of San
Antonio.
Others attending the celebration and who were
also present at the wedding in 1946 were: Mr. and
Mrs. M.L. McDonald of Dallas and son, Lynn and
Mrs. Ruth Mebane of Lockhart and son. Bob and
James A. Littleton.

The Burnetts were
married June 7, 1946 in
a double wedding cer-
emony in the First Bap-
tist Church of Dublin.
Dr. Donald A. Chisholm,
pastor of Fust Methodist
Church in Mineral Wells
and a lifetime friend of
the bride’s parents, offi-
ciated at the double wedding ceremony which was
shared with Ora Bea's sister, Maxine (deceased)
and James A. Littleton of San Antonio.
The Burnetts have since made their home in
Dublin. The former Ora Bea Nichols came to
Dublin from Houston where she was teaching in
1945. Robert Dale returned to Dublin after serving
45 months in the Navy during World War II.
Ft. Worth Pops Orchestra performs
in Concert in the Park Saturday
The Fort Worth Symphony Pops
Orchestra will perform in a free
concert in the Stephenville City
Park at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The event is hosted by the Cross
Timbers Fine Arts Council, Inc.
under sponsorship of numerous
area businesses. v.
The performance, which will in-
clude a Broadway music medley,
will conclude with a fireworks
display.
Guests are invited to bring a
picnic supper before the conceit.
There will be a separate area for
blankets and one for lawn chairs.
Limited concessions will be avail-
able. Admission for the concert is
free although reserved table seating
will be available for a fee.
Major sponsors are Bruner Mo-
tors, Dublin Dr Pepper, Nations-
Bank, WalMart, The Store at Pe-
can Valley, Norton Corp., the Of-
fice of Student Activities at TSU,
Empire Tribune and Trading Post,
the City of Stephenville Parks and
Recreation Department and the
Texas Commission on the Arts.

Candidates for the program
Harris Methodist Erath
County’s pulmonary
rehabilitation program consists
of a qualified team of health
care specialists. This team
includes a physician,
respiratory therapy technicians,
social workers, physical
therapists, pharmacists and a
dietician.
Referral by your physician is required for
participation in the Pulmonary
Rehabilitation program. If you have
experienced increased shortness of breath
particularly with exertion, noticed an
increase in sputum production, or if you
have been diagnosed with a lung disease
such as emphysema, chronic asthma,
chronic bronchitis, or bronchiectasis, you
may qualify for this program. Your
physician can determine whether you
qualify.
Any individual with lung disease or respiratory
impairment which results in limited exercise/activity
tolerance and/or limitations in self care or mobility
tasks due to shortness of breath is a candidate for
referrals to the program.
This would include, but is not limited to:
* COPD * Pulmonary Fibrosis
* Asthma * Emphysema
* Bronchiectasis * Bronchitis
* Chronic Restrictive pulmonary disease
