We have had some nice
spring like weather this past
week, but not a lot happening
that 1 know of. Our fruit trees
have bloomed out and are
beginning to fill out with
leaves now. Other trees and
bushes around have begun to
turn green and the lawns are
beginning to grow and turn
green again. My irises and
lilies have shot up above the
ground and are starting to
grow rapidly. So spring is
trying to make its way back in
again.
Nathan Wilds and family,
from Alabama, were down last
week while their youngest
son, Jason was out on spring
break. Our school is out this
week for spring break, so our
grade school teacher, Miss
Denena Wilds Is going back to
Alabama with her folks for the
week.
I have been feeling pretty
bad the past few days with a
cold and sore throat or
allergies, or maybe all three. I
sure will be glad when what-
ever is in the air stirring up
everyones allergies is gone or
settled down some. Everyone
is saying this seems to be the
worst time for their allergies
also. Well, enough of that. I'm
feeling better and glad of it.
Michael Fritz was down to
visit us on Saturday. He is
enjoying his new job at a new
hospital near Ray Hubbard. He
is stilt on the night shift,
though he says he has a good
-chance of-getting- on days,-
finally. We had a nice visit and
I fixed a good lunch and
Invited Raymond and Verba
Spence (dad and mom) down
as they don't get much of a
chance to visit with Michael
either. He left a little early to
get back home and get some
sleep as he hadn't been to bed
since working all night. Before
he left, Michoet went by to
see his Aunt Janet Blanton. He
drove Jimmy's truck over to
try It our.
Mickey and L.T. Goby went
to Montgomery, Alabama last
week to visit their son, Steve
and his wife, Kathy and boys,
Joshua, Matthew and Andrew,
The Gaby's visit was cut
short when Kathy received
news that her grandmother
had died and they had to go to
Florida to be with the family.
We were sorry to learn of the
death of Kathy's grandmother.
Our love and prayers are with
Kathy and her family. We all
miss not getting to see Steve
and Kathy and their family.
When they were living In
Louisiana we used to go down
and visit occasionally and of
course they were up here
every chance they got. So we
really miss those visits.
Jerry Gaby and Denena Wilds
went to Waxahachie Saturday
to visit Jerry's grandmother.
Janet Blanton and I made a
quick trip to Mesquite
Saturday night to the Spence's
house to pick up a few items
and had a short visit before
we hud to get back home.
Claud and Deborah Criswell
and children, Jonathan and
Jessica, tiave gone to Arkansas
for the week of spring break.
Claud plans to work with his
brother while they are there.
Kelli Blanton is On spring
break from Dallas Baptist
College and home for the
week. Janet Blanton is baby-
sitting for a few days with her
youngest grandson, Joshua,
while his mom, Deanna Nixon
is busy with her college

God knew that the pain
of losing this precious
irreplaceable part of our
lives with his constant big
smile, big brown eyes, and
untied shoes would almost
be unbearable. So, HE
provided us with all these
Coring genuine friends,
each so willing to do
anything and everything
possible to help ease our
pain.
For all the hugs, words of encouragement,
flowers, cards, food, memorials, the beautiful
service and so, so many other wonderful deeds,
we say thank you God for all these caring friends
whom YOU sent to comfort us. Each one provided
something special just when it was needed. If
Shad could, he would say to each of you,
‘'Thanks for helping my family go through this
transition of giving me up to my new home with
