double-ring ceremony
Jessica Havcrly of Wills Point
and Jeremy Smith of Emory were
united in marriage Saturday, July
17. at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church
in Emory with Bro. Billy Smith
(father of the groom) officiating the
double-ring ceremony.
The hridc is the daughter of John
and Peggy Haverly of Eustace and
the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jessie Williams of Fruitvale. The
groom is the son of Billy and
D’Andra smith of Emory and the
grandson of Mary Rahh of Point
and the late Ted Rahh. also the late
Joe and Thelma Smith.
Given in marriage by her father,
John Haverly, the hride wore an
ivory satin dress with a short-
sleeved pearl and sequined bodice
and cathedral-length train. She car-
ried her grandmother’s Bible for
something old with a bouquet of
white lilies and roses mixed with
greenery. Also the groom’s great-
grandfather's Bible was used lor the
reading of the scripture. The groom
presented the daughter of the bride,
Jessie, with a special gift during (he
ceremony.
The bride’s cousin, Wendy
McDonald of Athens, served as
Maid of Honor, Adrianne Edwards
of Wills Point was bridesmaid and
the bride’s daughter. Jessie Haverly.
was Bower girl.
Clayton Pierce of Emory was
Best Man, Jason Pierce also of
Emory was groomsman and Blake
Etheridge of Lone Oak was ring-
bearer Brothers of the bride and
groom. Chuck Haverly of Canton
and Justin Smith of Emory, were
ushers.

church fellowship hall. Houseparty

Following a short honeymoon,
the couple will make their home in
College Station, were the groom
will he attending Texas A&M
University, College ol Veterinary
Medicine.
Nurse Aide classes at
Paris Junior College
The basic Nurse Aide class will
be held at Paris Junior College
Monday through Friday. Aug. 2-18.
Monday/Thursday sessions, 8:30
a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday sessions, 8
a.m. to 12 noon. Successful com-
pletion will prepare students to sit
for the Texas Registry examination.
The Home Health Aide for nurse
aides will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5
p.m. on Aug. 10 and 20. This is an
extension of the basic nurse aide
class.

Kneberg and Hudgens
exchange vows in Tyler
Misty Dawn Hudgens and James
Duane Kneberg. Jr. were united in
marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, June
26, 1999, at Lakeside Church of
Christ in Flint. Pastor Chris White
officiated the double-ring ceremo-
ny.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry
and Barbara Hudgens of Flint. She
is the granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Stewart of Healdton,
Okla., and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Hudgens. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kneberg
of Emory and the grandson of Mrs
Dene Hickey of Buchanan. Mich.
The bride, escorted by her father,
wore a gown of candlelight lace
featuring a fitted bodice with a Vic-
torian neckline and sheer full-
length sleeves.
The full skirt fell from a basque
waist with a semi-cathedral train.
The neckline, cuffs, veil and train
were bordered with lace motif over
sheer illusion and detailed with
seed beads and sequins. Tiny cov-
ered buttons adorned the back of the
gown. Complementing the gown
was a double-layer fingertip veil
attached to illusion of lace. The
bride carried a bouquet of silk roses
accented with ivy and ribbon.
Deedra Woody of Liberty City
was Matron of Honor for her sister,
and Janet Bettis of Mesquite, sister
of the groom, served as bridesmaid.
The bridal attendants wore identical
floor-length light mauve satin
dresses overlaid with matching illu-
sion. The gowns featured rounded
necklines in front and back with
short pouf sleeves. The full skirts
flowed from the waistline adorned
with pearl accents. They carried
single-stem silk roses.
The flower girl was Samantha
Woody, niece of the bride. She wore
a tea-length ivory satin dress
trimmed with mauve accents and
carried a silk basket filled with silk
rose petals. Damon Woody, nephew
of the bride, served as ringhearer
He wore black pants and tie with a
long-sleeved white shirt He carried
a satin pillow with attached rings.
Robert Kneberg served his broth-
er as Best Man. Billy Kneberg,
brother of the groom, served as
groomsman. Both are of Emory.
The groom wore a black tuxedo
with a black tie and cummerbund
The groom’s attendants wore simi-
lar tuxedos.
Serving as candlelighters were
Jessica Woody and Matthew
Greene, niece and cousin ol the
bride respectfully. They were
dressed in attire similar to the
(lower girl and ringbearcr.
Gary Hickey of Canton, Ga.,
uncle of the groom, and Rodney
Woody of Liberty City, brother-in-
law of the bride, served as ushers.
Attending the bride’s book was
Celesta Rapier of Ringling, Okla.,
cousin of the bride, and the wed-
ding coordinator was Jo Anders of
Bullard.
Arched eandelabras and a round-
ed archway decorated with ivy and
tulle, along with bows and flowers
in the bride’s chosen colors high-
lighted the altar where the couple
pledged their vows. A unity candle
designed with matching flowers
and greenery completed the setting.
Acappella music selected for the
ceremony included I'll Be Yours, To
Me. Long Line of Love. Faithful and
True, Forever's as Far as I Go. The
Wedding Song, and Always.
Following the ceremony, the
bride and groom were escorted in a
black stretch limo to the reception
which was held at Pine Trail Shores
Club House in Flint.
The wedding cake was accented
with strings of seed beads and
embossed with the names of the
couple. Two smaller cakes joined
by a towering staircase were high-
lighted by a lighted water fountain
and arrangements of Bowers.
The groom's table, which held a
chocolate sheetcakc decorated with
chocolate-covered strawberries,
matched the bride’s table with a
lloor-length tablecloth and mauve
and peach accents.
Member of the houseparty were
Diana Dickerson of Healdton.
Okla., and Debra Rapier of Ring-
ling, Okla., aunts of (he bride, and
Camillia Rapier, cousin of the
hridc.
A rehearsal dinner was held on
the eve of the ceremony in the
church fellowship hall.
Following a wedding trip to
Galveston the couple is residing in
Flint
They are self-employed with
Kneberg Painting and Drywall. and
the groom is employed by ASAP
