To My Dear Friends:
God above is the only one that knows what
my friends mean to me! I honestly do not
think / would have made it as well as I did had
it not been for everybody’s prayers. My doctor
thinks / am doing great. / really don 't think
he thought / would be doing as good as l am,
but when I explained to him that everyone in
Emory and Point is praying for me, he under-
stood my determination.
Boy, no one knows how great it is to look up
(and see) someone from good ol' Emory or
Point walk in to see you, or the nurse come in
with cards or flowers, or that telephone ring
and me hear somebody's voice from home.
That's great, and for everybody who has
taken me back and forth to Dallas for ten
radiation treatments and all the people that
came to the house and brought food, mowed
the yard or cut limbs around the house for us.
All the flowers are beautiful. I can honestly
say where would I be without all my friends-
and / could not possibly have made it without
my little piece of Heaven—ELSA! I know by
the grace of God and my good doctor I'm go-
ing to be OK and kicking again real soon.
