Give Dinner Honoring Son
Pvt. Willie Joe Hall was
honored with a dinner Sunday,
April 9, at the home of his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Mina Hall
of Timpson. Those present
to enjoy the day were: , Mr.

and Mrs. J- L. Hall, Mr. and
Mrs. Berry Rhodes and chil-
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Ben S.

hunt delighted the children.
Pvt. Hall is stationed at Fort
Jackson, S. C.
Mrs. V. A. Naylor and Mrs.
Sam Henry of Center, were
guests of Mrs. S. T. Smith,
Tuesday. Mrs. Naylor is Shel
by county chairman of the
East Texas Camp and Hospital
service, and was here to con-
fer with Mrs. Smith, local
chairman, preceding the dis-
trict meeting in Longview.
Lieut. Todd and Wife
At Home for Visit
Lieut and Mrs. William R.
Todd have arrived for a visit
with the former’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. W. A. Todd of Timp-
aon. Lieutenant' Todd is sta-
tioned at Camp Gruber, Okla
Mrs! W. J. Walker left this
morning for Eagle Pass where
she will make a several days’
visit with her daughter and
family, ' Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Thompson and children. -
J. C. Ingram Visits Timpson
J. C. Ingram of Garrison,
was a business visitor in Timp-
son today. Mr. Ingram is en-
gaged in the mercantile busi-
ness, store located in the brick
plant, sector at parrison.

Wilda, April 11.—Britt Lee

the Easter holiday with her
parents, W. H. Britton anti
family.

spent Sunday with his brother,
Bob Murphy and family. They

Murphy.
Rob Wood visited friends in

Miss Helen Whiteside spent
Easter Sunday with her par-

ness of Mrs. Mae Arnold, who
ha* spent most of her years in

writes from somewhere in the

Rudolph Whiteside is tak-
ing intensive training in the
Navy school in San Diego,
California, before leaving for
sea duty.
