Fisherman’s
Baptist Church
Our attendance was down again
on Wednesday night. Sister Janie
Ramsey had the flu, and Bro. Ram-
sey was still suffering from the ef-
fects of the flu.
We are glad to have Bro. Walt
Stoll back in services following his
back surgery. He is doing great.
Their daughter had an emergency
C-section Friday. Mother and the 9-
1b. 11-oz. baby boy are doing fine.
Claudie Kennimer was also sick
last week. Neel Kennimer’s daugh-
ter had surgery last week and is al-
so doing fine. We thank God for
answered prayers.
We were glad to have Jerry and
Lana Carlisle’s children, Carrie,
Wes and Jackie, in church Sunday
morning. Wes and Jackie will be
getting married next month.
Jaxie Morgan's mother-in-law's
apartment burned Friday night, but
thankfully she was unharmed.
Bro. Ramsey’s message Sunday
morning was taken from Romans 3:
10-23 and Hebrews 10: 1-12 and
was entitled “The Sinner’s Sin and
the Savior’s Sacrifice."
Remember to pray for the sick
and bereaved, our church and each
other.
See you all next week, Lord will-
ing and the saints don’t rise!

"I will therefore that men pray
everywhere, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting.” I Tim.
2:8.
Bro. Ishmael, along with the
band, opened our services with cho-
ruses of praise, followed by Bro.
Simmons asking if anyone needed
prayer for healing or other needs.
Our worship is informal, sponta-
neous and Christ-centered with a
deep commitment to meeting
human needs. We prayed for Renie
Moreno, who takes care of our
nursery, before services started. She
had an eye problem.
It’s Sunday school time and here
is Bro. Simmons, our “tough”
teacher, asking us if we studied our
lesson. Our lessons continue on the
works of the Holy Spirit, and the
lesson was titled “The Spirit
Imparts New Life.” Pastor Ishmael
preached soul-searching messages
from Amos chapter six entitled “At
Ease, but not Grieved.” Tapes are
available. We really need to study
these great sermons.
Pastor Ishmael has been telling us
to circle the wagons, the Indians are
coming, and they did this past
Saturday night. The Buck Family
Quartet blessed our hearts with
great singing, and we heard some of
the finest piano playing on the key-
board. One Indian, Nathan Buck,
and wife, Mary Lou, stayed over for
Sunday morning service. We had a
combination of the Freedom band
and the keyboard to accompany the
wonderful songs and choir presen-
tation. We appreciated all our visi-
tors and welcome you again.
Remember all the prayer requests
this week and pray for each other.
Especially remember those who are
battling cancer. Pray for our leaders
who will be attending youth confer-
ence this weekend in Irving.
Hope to see you Wednesday
night and attend the church of your
choice this Sunday.
