Help is needed that day. On the 15th

United Methodist Church
news
What a spirit-filled morning we
had for Laity Sunday.
Mrs. Anne Hearn, Pastor Hearn’s
mother, was our guest speaker. She
is a world-renowned speaker, trav-
eler and missionary - one busy lady.
We were blessed that she had a win-
dow of time to share with us. Mem-
bers of the congregation were in
charge of the entire service while
Bruce sat back and enjoyed the ser-
vice.
Many are on our list of prayers,
concerns and joys: Ben and Alene
Oler; Michael Bostick; Orville
Briggs and three of his brothers
(Orville’s back is better, and for this
our voices were lifted with joy); and
our church and the construction
project which is to start Wednesday.
We are having vinyl siding added to
our fellowship hall and parsonage.
The ladies' prayer group will
meet Wednesday to finalize plans
for the Christmas Tour of Homes
which we will be a part of.
Our evening service was well-
attended with Mrs. Hearn here
before she was whisked off to the
airport.
Choir rehearsal found us practic-
ing for the county-wide Thanksgiv-
ing program, as well as the Fifth
Sunday Singing.
Love your neighbors.
