Fifty nine per cent of Texas'
population lives on farms and
most of the other 41 per cent
depend to some extent on farm-
er buying-power for a livelihood
the Texas Planning Board has
learned in determining a sound
land use policy for the State.
Rich deposits of the relatively
rare fluor spar a mineral which
is all but indispensable to porce-
lain glass and steel manufac-
turers have been found in the
Big Bend county according to
the Texas Planning Board's min-
eral resources committee which
predicts that the Big Bend sec-
tion ultimately will prove a
source of wealth equal to that
which the East Texas oil field
has yielded. Gold silver lead
zinc and copper are being mined
in the Big Bend now.

FORD "60" OWNERS REPORT
22-27 MILES PER GALLON
The J0-1iorsepower Ford V-8 is writing r;emark-
able mileage records on American roads. Private
owners and fleet operators alike report averages
of from 22 to 27 miles on a gallon of gasoline.
You can fill the tank of your Ford "60rt and
drive all day 300 to 400 miles widiout stop-
ping again for fuel. Besides costing less to run
than any Ford car ever built it sells at the lowest
Ford price in years. That's double economy !
. H .(.I ii
The "60" delivers V-8 smoothness and quiet at
speeds up to 70 miles an hour. It is built into the
same roomy body as the famous "85" with the
same modern features of comfort and depend-
ability that makp the 1937. Ford V-8 unques-
tionably THH QUALITY CAR IN THE LOW-PRICE FIELD.
