the week-end with their moth-

Roy Hutchinson of the Gary
community, was a business
visitor in Timpson Monday.
Mrs. W. M. Walker and
small daughter, Janice Rae, of
Shreveport, and Mrs. J. S. La-

Susan, of Joaquin, were in
Timpson Monday for a visit
with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. O. Bryan, and sisters,
Mrs. R. E. Boucher, and Mis.
Hunter Futrell.
R. A. Shaw, of Nacogdoches,
area supervisor for the de-
partment of vocational agri-
culture, spent several hours in
Timpson Monday. Mr. Shaw
was here to confer with Rush-
ing Manning, local vocational
agriculture teacher and to look
after other matters in connec-
tion with his work.
Capt. John Tyson
Reports For Duty
At Selfridge Field
Selfridge Field, Mich., Feb.
25.—Capt. John Tyson, Air
Corps, has reported for duty
at Selfridge Field.
His permanent home address
is Timpson, Tex., where his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin
Tyson, reside. Bom in Timp-
son, Aug. 28, 1919, he was
educated there, at Marshal!
Junior college and at the Ag-
ricultural and Mechanical Col-
lege of Texas.
Captain Tyson entered the
Army July 14, 1941, as an
Aviation Cadet, and took flight
training at Oklahoma City,
Okla., Randolph Field, Tex.,
and Ellington Field, Tex. He
has since served at Jackson,
Miss., Columbia, S. C., over-
seas and at Gainesville, Fla.,
prior to reporting to Selfridge
Field.

Election Order
Be it ordered by the board
of trustees of Timpson Inde-
pendent School District that
an election be held In the town
of Timpson, in said Timpson
Independent School District
on the first day of April, 1944;
for the purpose of electing two
School Trustees for said Timp-
son Independent School Dis-
trict.
W. S. Espy, as judge, and
J. D. Hairston, as clerk, are
hereby appointed to hold said
election, and said election
shall be held in the manner
prescribed by law for holding
other elections.
The returns of said election
shall be made to the President
of School Board, Timpson,
Shelby County, Texas, in ac-
cordance with law.
A copy of this order signed
by the president and attested
by the secretary of this board
shall serve as proper notice of
said election, and the presi-
dent shall cause notice of said
election to be given in accord-
ance with law.
In testimony whereof, wit-
ness the signature of the Pres-
ident and Secretary of said
Timpson Independent School
District, and the seal thereof,
hereunto aflixed this the 8th
day of February, 1944.
