crossed the threshold of that home,
when Miss Grace, who only u few
short hours before, was enjoying good
health, lay In the cold embrace of
death.
Miss Grace was norn near Cherokee
on April 16, 1894, and with the excep-
tion of some few years spent in Fort
Worth and Cuba, had lived in this
immediate section all of her life. Atj
1880. and on January 26, 1887 was
united In marriage to Mr. J. A. Mayes
of Valley Springs, whose death occur-
to the traffic before that time, conse-
quently the people will not have to

of this kind.
