damage to their hctlse.
Will finish their yard
work when they return
home.
The rain did come, 2
in. of it.Also a “twis-
ter" blew the tops out
of 2 big pines. Also a
big pane fell and tpre
up a big Elm. A huge
limb off an Oak in C.R.
and Oleta's yard. Also
a big tree in David and
Debra Pate's yard. Did

and. house. A; shop tore
tore up. Took the top
off of James and Sandy
new utility house, lots
of limbs and timber in
other places on Weaver
hill. Didn'-t last long,
but got rough. Clint
and Jason cut a tree
out of the road. Clint
was hauling hay into
our old Broiler house.
He got his. 3 wheeler
in. Larrie thought he
•as at Faye s. He said
it was pretty nought
hail. Wind blew some of
the tin up.He was sorta
scared. Blew L.V.'s an-
tenna over. All our
yards are a mess. Just
a small area, but it
sure was a scary time.
Oleta and C.R.came Fri.
morning. The storm hit
Wed. afternoon. Have
started on cleaning up.
We have all had work to
do in the yard, picking
up limbs.
Larrie went to the doc-
tor again Mon. His sur-
gical doctor was out
of town.se we are wait-
ing. He hurts' a lot.
Hope he can have some
good days. He sure has
suffered.
We had Payton and Irene
Stilley on Tues. eve.
Enjoyed their visit.
Had Bro. Me Wed. noon.
He also visited Buster
at Ouida's a few minu-
tes. Had been to church
at-Xorinih. A good re-

On Wed. eve after the
storm, Lovis and Mar-
ian and grandson came
by. On thur. they were
carrying the grandson
home to Palestine on to
Austin for a few days -

and Renee here Tues.

Herbert Eakin visited
larrie Thur. eve. They
had a talking good
time. Melma voungblood
visited with l.V. They
like to talk also.

work done on her car, -
so she is a foot for a
few days. She is en-
joying the cats. A mama
cat came and now has
kittens. Gary Don Gat-
llff is doing some yard
work. He is doing fine
after being real sick
for a few days.
David was here early
Fri. mom. We enjoyed
his visit. Oleta and
Charley down a while at
lunch time.Brought some
good coconut cake.
The pesky deer are sure
getting our peas. Mack
has the prettiest pea
patch. The -deer pick
them every night. Some-
thing needs to be done
about all this. Me're
not theOnly ones. They
are eatfcg the vines
off sweet potatoes,then
pawing them up. It's
disgusting.
On Sat. mom. we had
Wallace Crawford vis-
iting, then Al Skinner
came from Livingston,
her daughter Jeanette
from Katy, also had
Renee,Joe and Charlene,
Terry and Sherry, Dust-
in and Lance, Cling and
Jason. They are still
riding mules. Have lots
of fun. Grandma Pate
needs to tel 1 David
them mules are stub- ,
bom and going to hurt
them youngins. Granny .
Windhamn fusses at them

Faye and Renee went to .
Center. Didn't stay
long. Was too hot for
them. They said aH'the
stores were full-. and
running over. v . :
Jay and Mae Teske. were
here Sat. eve. lste in
a brand new pickup. Are
on a business trip the
first of week.
We had Faye, Mack, Lay-
ton, Susie. Jermery.
Darrell and Renee' Sun.
afternoon. Late Sim.
eve. had Bro. Me and
Jackie, L.V. and Clint.
Larrie enjoys the fam-
ily around, more espec-
ially since he is in
bed all the time.
Faye and I went down
the Todd Spring road,
did a lot of damage to
Mr. and Mrs. Runyon's
trailer house,also some
damage to Johnny Risin-
ger's house, so it mas
a pretty wide spread
area.
Talked to Lamerle Young
Sun. eve. She is busy.
Had a new top on her
house. Has leaked and
did damage to her car-
pet. About to get it
all fixed. She has been
real busy. '
Mrs. Goolsby, Thelma
Mathis and Ben Gools-
by's mother died this
week, she had been sick
for quite a while. She
will be missed by all
of her family.She lived
a long useful life,
raised a nice Christian
family.
Talked to Buster anil
Anna several times. Me
1s feeling better these
days .He's up and about..
The Magness' had com-
pany. Kristy and niece
Linda were in church'
with us.This young lady
has been visiting Kris-
ty for a while this
suaaer.
Rente, under the vine
in the yard.Sure didn't
answer the telephone.
L.V. and I.T. are off
to below Center to
check on Virginia Fish-
er who has had hip sur-
gery. Has* been away
from home for several
weeks now.
