suggest Miss Bessie L. Vogt
Williamson County Home Dem-
onstration Agent. The half gal-
Ion jnrs coffee jars gallon sy-
rifp cans or 25 lb. lard cans

teaspoonful.
Gallon cans or jars one-half

spoonfuls. "Put the carbon disulphide in
a Ismail container (jar top will

Mrs. Hall Palmer' of the Rio
Grande Valley has been visiting
her father Mack Gardner for a
week.
One morning a friend took us
downtown in Jhis automobile. He
reprimanded Us as we started to
t03s the wrapper of a cigar out
.the window.
"Help keep the town clean"
he barked.
So we deposited the waste
on the seat of his car. What ho
did with it we do not know.
Since then we have tried to
do bur part in keeping things
clean nnd we find ourselves
walking along the streets nnd
through the corridors of build
ings looking for receptncles in
which to deposit butts and
waste. We have walked miles in
buildings stores and streets
without finding convenient de
positories for our cellophane
chewing gum and butts. Con-
sequently we drop them on tho
floor and street.
Something should be done
about this. Governments rail-
roads building owners and mer-
chants should buy millions of
waste-paper boxes ash-cans
and butt and chewing gum re-
ceivers. They should be spaced
a hundred feet apart.
