Shreveport, La., Oct 10.—
W. T. Cobb, superintendent of
the beef cattle department of
the Loufaiana State Fair, te be
held at Shreveport from Oct.
'21 through Oct 29, reports
that there will be more and
better entries this year than at
any previous State fair.
Already arrangements have
been made, he told the fair
management, for a display
from the famous Alfred War-
riner herd of Thibodaux.
Twenty-five head of these cat-
tie, said to be among the finest
in the Union, will be seen in
their prime. Sending a dairy
cattle exhibit for the test time
in the history of tbe State fair,
the Louisiana State Normal
College at Natchitoches will
enter a fine herd, which is ex-
pected to attract ranch atten-
tion. The normal herd is com-
posed of some of the finest
types of cattle ever seen in the
state and the display is ex-
pected to create much favor-
able comment and interest, ac-
cording to advance notices to
the fair management. There
will be beef herds from West
Feliciana parish, from Tallu-
lah, from Crowley and other
parishes and communities of
the State.
"Interest this year in the
Louisiana State Fair is greater
than I have ever known it to
be, ’ Mr. Cobb declared in
speaking of preparations being
made, “and I look for the
greatest beef cattle display
ever presented. Breeders of
cattle realize that no other
