“It is a good thing to give
thanks unto the Lord, and to sing
praises unto thy name, O most
high: To shew forth thy loving
kindness in the morning, and thy
faithfulness every night. Upon
an instrument of ten strings, and
upon every psaltery; upon the
harp with a solemn sound. “
Psalm 92:1-3

Bobby's absence.

Rob had a very good lesson ti-
tled “A Conversion Experience”
although he was unable to get
into it fully or finish it because
of all the exciting news of the
evacuees in our county and ef-
forts to help them.
I’m sure Bro. David’s mes-
sage was also good as usual,
however, we were unable to stay
for worship services, sorry we
missed it.
We enjoyed Tuesday morning
singing and worship service at
Green Aces Nursing Home. Bro.
David's message was taken from
Psalm 23. We enjoyed it, also
Charley Cooper’s beautiful
solos.
We appreciate each of the
ladies (I think there were 11)
from our church who worked at
Good Samaritan's on Thursday.
Sadly, we seem to have only
one lonesome dove left that
comes to feed, I can’t help but
feel sorry for it. Both painted
and indigo buntings have also
left, apparently the drought has
taken it’s toll on their habitat as
well. Hopefully, we soon will
get some of the much needed
rain.
Please pray with us for the
lost, our churches, pastors and
families, our nation, all the
storm victims, service men and
women, their families, President
Bush and his staff, all govern-
ment leaders, little children and
the elderly, homeless, hurting -
(physically and spiritually), job-
less, angry, and spiteful. May
God keep his merciful and com-
forting hand upon all the sick
and sorrowing in the loss of
loved ones. Please continue to
pray with us for Jewell Mills,
Dorothy Kile, Connie Hart,
Betty Evans, Jo Hutchinson,
Joan Hutchinson, Gladys
Owens, Mattie Cotten, Nancy

Living for the one who brand-
ed us ... Jesus.
We all gathered Sunday for a
wonderful time of music, fel-
lowship and a good message.
The Bull Creek Band did a
mighty fine job of leadin’ us in
song, glorifyin’ the Lord.
Sheriff Bob gathered up the
youngin’s. His message to the
littlin’s was about the Bible as a
survival kit.
Pastor Mike’s message Sun-
day was about Generosity.
We start gatherin’ around 9:30
a.m. for a good of cup of hot
coffee and donuts; service be-
gins at 10:00 a.m. Come as you
are, we would love to have you.
Sunday we are going to gath-
er at Rats at the evacuee camp to
have a meal and some good
southern country gospel music
and a devotional for the evac-
uees. We’d love to see ya there.
For the Wednesday night
youth gatherin’ at 7:00 p.m. we
will be attendin’ the Rains
County Fair.
Ranch round-up will be Sept.
23,24, and 25. Mark your calen-
dar for this one, you don’t want
to miss it. It’s gonna be a Bull
Creek weekend with campfire,
cowboy poets, team ropin’ and
Jeff Gore on Sunday momin’.
Until we meet again, God
bless and happy trails!

This was a beautiful Sunday,
but we have not had rain.
The humming birds have been
migrating south. I am only feed-
ing about one-half of what I fed
here earlier.
We had a fire on the Spradling
land. They were baling hay
when the hay was ignited.
People are feeding and haying
their cattle, and the pools are
getting low on water.
1 was so sorry to hear of the
death of Daphnia McAllister
Galyean’s youngest brother. Our
prayers go out to his family.
Bro. Lloyd Hopkins chose
“The Second Coming of Christ”
as the title for his sermon, taken
from Acts, Romans and Rev-
elation. We had a great service.
The Calvary Singers will be at
our church Thursday night. Sept.
29, at 7:00.
Thought for the day - “1 was
hungry and you fed me, thirsty
and you gave me a drink; I was a
stranger and you received me
into your homes.” Matt. 25:35
Our prayer list includes the
lost, our church, our country,
those in the nursing homes,
those in the military, Verna Bar-
nett, Doris Giles, J.W. and
Daphnia Galyean, the McAllis-
ter family, Doris Gowin, Eddie
Hines, Fay Freiberger, S/Sgt.
Jason Giles, Robert Bums Sr.,
Artie and Gwen Holman, Jimmy
and Mae Shedd, Mary Ramsey,
Ken Robinson, Mike Gowin,
Katie Bruce, Annette Pierce,
Lacy Pierce, Bertie Young,
Justin Wolfe, Junior Potts,
Bobby Bryant, Larry Looney,
and thfc Christian family.
Olga Jean Courtney was our
visitor Sunday.
We missed the Gowin family.
Doris Gowin is still suffering
from the surgery on her back,
and she will need to see her
doctor again.
Doris Giles is having a bad
time.
Have a great week.
