Report From Red
Cross Work Room
The November and December
shipment of surgical dressings
for Bell County Red Cross work-
ers has arrived and Bartlett re
ceived her quota this week. It
is' the desire of those in charge
that' this work' be completed be-
fore the Christmas holidays
and in order to accomplish this
all workers will bo needed and
are asked to come as often as
possible. Now workers are
coming in all along and are not
only happy m doing a most ur-
gent and worthwhile work but
are enjoying the association of
tlhe women of the community.
Please remember to bring a clean
wash dress and ia cloth or heavy
net lnrge enough to completely
cover the hair; and do not wear
rings with mountings or nail
polish. Regular work hours will
continue ' as usual Wednesday
arid TQiursday afternoons iand
Thursday night.
During the period October 20
to November 10 forty women
worked a total of 396 3-4 Uiours
in the lecal surgical dressing
room and made 5085 sponges
size 2x2 whioh completed i

ings for .the Bell County Red
Cross Chapter has announced
that a program is being arrang-
ed for December 9th in Temple
commemorating the first anni
versary of Bell County's surgical
dressing .work. At this time all
women in Bell county who have.
worked 100 or more hours mak
ing surgical dressings during thf
year will be awarded a sdrvic
stripe. To date fifteen womel
as follows have worked 100
more hours in the Bartlett Unit
and are eligible to receive the
service stripe and it is possible
that others will have completed
their 100 hours by December 9 :
