Paul Amos left Sunday for
Alexandria, La., where he
will enter the Veterans’ hospi-
tal for further treatment. He
recently spent a few'weeks in
the hospital, and his many
friends trust he will soon be
able to return home enjoying
good health.
Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Mc-
Dowell and. daughter, Miss
Jeanice, of Center spent Sun-
day in the city. They attend-
ed the service at the Methodist
church Sunday morning when
the baccalaureate sermon for
the graduation class of Timp-
son high school was delivered.
Miss Joecile McDowell, their
oldest daughter, being a mem-
ber of the class.
M. M. Weaver of Center at-
tended the school cohmence-
ment program here Sunday,
when Rev. Newton J. Robison
of Center delivered the bac-
calaureate sermon.
Harry Burns of Center spent
Sunday with his brother, A. F.
Burns and sisters. Mesdames T.
A. Trammell and G. H. Motley
of this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Alga Shep-
herd of Henderson spent Sun-
day with Mrs. Shepherd’s sis-
ter, Mrs. Sam Bogard of this
city._
Miss Jonnie Mae Perritte of
Nacogdoches spent last week-
end visiting her cousins,
Misses Vivian and Jean Bo-
gard of this city. The young
lady’s mother, Mrs. Jonnie
Perritte, sister of Mrs. Sam
Bogard, came over Sunday,
spent the day and accompa-
nied her daughter home late
Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Louise Rutherford
Hebert will present her music
pupils in a travelog Tuesday
night at the high school audi-
torium beginning at 8 o’clock.
The public is cordially invited
to attend.

and Mrs. George Hutcherson
returned Saturday from Fort
Worth where they attended
the Southern Baptist conven-
tion.
Mr. and Mrs. Rex Brinson
and daughters, Misses Lets Vae
and Jean, have returned from
Galveston where they attend-
ed the Second Division conven-
tion of the American Legion of
Texas. Mr. Brinson states that
good representation was pres-
ent from throughout the dis-
trict, and that a helpful ses-
sion was enjoyed by the Le-
gionnaires.
