The Little Leaguers are man?
up of some twenty Bartlett
youngsters all under the age ot
IS and they play their base-
ball "hard ball" style. They have
been working out since the close
of school and this week received
their uniforms. They will play a
game as a preview for the home-
folks Thursday afternoon start-
ing at 6:00 p. m. Friday night
they will journey to Beyersville
to open the season for Beyers-
ville against their Little League
team. Monday the Round Rock
Little Leaguers will come to
Bartlett to play a game which
will also begin at 6 :00 p. m.
If you like baseball or care
anything at all about boys you'll
want to see these kids in action
every time they take the field
The boys to be eligible for Little
League play must be between the
ages of 8 "and 13 (that is they
can't be 13 before the last day
of August). They play by reg-
ular professional baseball rules
with the exception of the size ol
the diamond bats etc. They play
on a diamond two-thirds the size
of the pro diamonds and all
other equipment except the ball
is two-thirds the size of the pro-
fessional models.
You'll see some real fast hust-
ling action when these boys take
the field against each other and
against outside competition be
there Thursday at 6 :00 p. m.
