CARLTON NEWS by Jane Thetford
Sum Poo! preached for us Sunday, June 15. With so many
things going on. attendance was low.
Loree Miller and grandson David Hickey spend Saturday and
Sunday with Tad and Willa Gilbreath. Tad and Willa attended the
school luncheon Saturday. Sunday, Loree, David, Tad and Willa,
and Gene and Maxine had lunch at Carlton.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Leona Payne.
Frank and Rita Barbee. John and Juanita went to Oakalla Sunday
and had lunch with Waller, Ira, Dakota and Donnie and Bonnie
Davis. Dakota came home with us and Walter and Ira came to the
funeral of Leona Payne Monday and picked up Dakota.
Bud and Wanda Davidson came in Friday from a trip and were
here for church Sunday. Phil and Merle Grozier are still going for
Phi s treatments at the Dallas V.A. We pray-they wHl help and they
can be home for good soon. We miss them.
I stayed at John Barbee s shop in Dublin Saturday. I saw so many
people 1 hadn't seen in a while. We will be having a garage sale here
in Edna Hill at my house starting Thursday through Saturday.
We have had some good rain here lately. Some go caught with
hay on the ground. Hope to have more new next week. Dag and
Cathy Pendleton and Joy and Wilber Stockton were here over the
weekend to enjoy all Dublin had going on.

Rhonda House attended Gary's
class reunion. Gary said after 35
years, the things they do and the
fun they have is getting bigger,
better and more' exciting every
year. Now he can hardly wait
until the 40th reunion.
Friday afternoon, Sharon
Locke, Holly Noles, Dorothy
Gatlin and myself went over to
Earls Johnson’s place where we
played 2 rounds of dominos.
Talk about the fun and insults,
I'm looking forward to the next
time we play.
Our most sincere and deep-
est sympathy to Daniel Gibson
on the loss of his father, Roger
Gibson who passed away
Sunday, June 15. Memorial
services were set for Thursday,
June 19 at 11:00am at the Rocky
Point Baptist Church in
Stephenville where Mr. Gibson
was a member.
Sunday night at church,
Susan Keith presented a 25
minute program with pictures
set to music from their church
camping trip. She did a beautiful
job and it was so entertaining.
The Keith Reunion was held
Saturday at the Rustic Retreat at
Proctor. Atha Dedmon and
Dorothy Bays presented a pro-
gram on their Steve Keith in the
late 1800. Fried fish and all the
trimmings was the main menu
with the ladies bringing
desserts.
Marie Armstrong had a visit
from her grandson, Clint
Burleson and his son from
Wichita Falls and Emily over
the weekend. Pat Bays says that
Kelly is still enjoying her nurs-
ing classes in Houston. Beulah
Jacks fed Rodney Jacks and
boys a bite to eat when the came
by. Brenda Faulkner and family
went to Arlington to visit her
father and came back with a
straggler by the name of Trevyn
Sergeant. Cousin Wanda Riker
and daughter Marilyn visited
Alice Keith for a few days.
Renee White said they cele-
brated Father's Day Saturday
night eating fish at Cook's Cafe
with the kiddos along with
Mom, Dad, Papaw and little
Trey, a guest of several days.

birthday Friday, June 20.
We had some good rains
over the weekend. Got 1 !/4" in
all.
Claudett and Pete Stull from
Odessa spent Thursday the 12th
through Sunday'the 15th, with

Ann and Herby Hays and
Cody Hays of Austin spent
Friday the 13th through Sunday
the 15th with George and Syble
Greer Cody will be attending
Tarlelon State University this
semester.

had all their family for Father's
Day

reunion was held at Lake
Proctor on the 7th and 8th of
June. All eight of the children
were their. They had a real
good time. Pat Thompson and
family, Wanda Norris and fami-

Thompson. Dora Hobbs, Tinnie
Barnett and familly, Jimmy
Thompson and family and
Tommy Thompson.
Alma Woolsey had a birth-
day and Father's Day dinner for
Loyd. Those present were Loyd
and Elba and Labert Woolsey of
Hamilton. Kenneth Woolsey
and Drue of Hico, Sheila Knight
and Logan of Stephenville and
Lela and Lisa Kerrley of
Carlton.
Johnny and Jane Mulloy vis-
ited Doyle Mulloy, Will and
Judy Sanders, Josh and Kenny
on the 15th.

attended the Aery reunion in
Dublin on the 14th.

Dildine, we will be thinking of
you, wish you the best.

Arlington visited us on the 14th.
Floyd and Zach came in
Friday, Saturday and Sunday for
Father's Day.
Dale came down Saturday
night. We enjoyed having
