G THE MILL
After grant money came
through, crews from Scott
Tucker and Abernathy’s
Creative Masonry were
busy restoring the historic
Grist Mill in May. Progress
continued in October when
Jerald Murphy and Toby
Wilson from Johnson’s
Sheet Metal were painting
and installing doors on the
east and south sides of the
building. The recently
installed doors were
restored by Mr. Johnson
CHURCH- Work has
continued steadily at The
Little Church on Grafton
aftea* it was donated to the
Dublin Historical Society.
Aaron and David Locke of
Locke Construction Co. have
helped a lot in replacing the
exterior boards, working on
the windows and rebuilding
the entry way to let in more
light. Recently, crews were
at the church doing
insulation work. Donations
are currently being collected
for the restoration through
the “Pennies for
Preservation” fund drive.
Interested parties can
donate at the Dublin
Historical Museum.
