OF FACTS AND FUN
By Nora Robert and Son
DAVILLA
Mrs. Vera Hodges
You may see most anything
on tho streets of Bartlett and
we womler what will be seen
next. J. S. Kuler and Bill Mate-
jowsky were seen standing in
front of th post office trying
out a casting rod. We wonder
flf they were trying to drag
something from the puddles of
water just north of the post
office or if they were trying to
Jut the top of Fred Montgom-
ery's house.

that she wont fishing with hus-
liand Joe Sunday and fell in
the river. What we can't fig-
ure is how she could get those
scratches and bruises just by
falling into the water. She
doesn't 'have a cold . . . well
your guess is as good as ours.
Have you seen a red and white
flash pass your vision ? It could
have been James Bailey in that
3iow white Belair with n red top.
lie is really the flashy middle-
ago shiek there days .... bet
lie could really get some pretty
"pick-ups" if he was 25 years
tpounger.
Dr. O. J. Koepke should con-
sider the age of some of the
vomen he demonstrates that
worm tie to. As a group was
laving coffee at a local cafe
Tuesday Dr. Koepke appeared
an his usual quiet friendly man
ner and was shaking hands with
everyone but just as he greet-
ed tho writer of this column he
pressed a button or did some
slight of hand and out jumped
n green worm from his novel
bow tie.
You have no doubt heard of
the monkey getting his tail
caught in the lawn mower . . .
well we have a different story
Df a lawn mower. Mrs. Lloyd
Woody who recently purchased
a. power lawn mower was de-
monstrating last Saturday and
a freak accident occurred. She
got her throat cut and had to
havo several stitches taken.
This is tho first time we have-
ever heard of such an incident.
It is time to get those onion
sets and cabbage plants into the
ground. AH other garden seed
?nay be planted now. Trim off
jlhe old limbs from your chrys
anthemums. Divide those dais-
ies and get beds ready for di-
viding and transplanting chrysanthemums.
