Beauty College
collecting food
National Beauty College in
Ennis is collecting donations for
Helping Hands of Ennis, and
those who bring in items can re-
ceive discounts on services at the
beauty school. The drive offers
$1 credits for cans of tuna, two
boxes of macaroni and cheese,
tomato soup cans, green bean
cans, canned or dried beans,
canned corn or box or bagged
pasta. Donors receive $3 credit
for a jar of peanut butter, a can
of chicken or a can of spaghetti
sauce. A limit of $6 of credit per
day is in place. For more infor-

Senior Angels will be in the
Angel Tree at Boze-Mitchell-
McKibbin Funeral homes in

Constable Roy Callender Jr.,
the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office
and Precinct 1 Justice of the
Peace Bill Woody are collaborat-
ing on the fourth annual Ellis
County Toy Drive. Drop-off lo-
cations are the Historical Ellis
County Courthouse in Waxa-
hachie, the new courts building
in Waxahachie, the Ellis County
Sheriff’s Office, Community Su-
pervision Offices, Justice of the
Peace Offices, the Ellis County
Sub-Courthouse at 207 S.
Sonoma Trail and the Ennis
Daily News at 213 N. Dallas St. in
Ennis.

The Ennis Public Library will
have a visit from Santa Claus at
6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Fam-
ilies that attend will be able to
take pictures with Santa with
their own cameras, hear Christ-
mas stories and sing holiday jin-
gles.

place on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. in
