On the Heritage Trail timpsgen@loblolly.org
...with Timpson Genealogy Library By Barbara Frazier Askins
1
The Timpson Area
Genealogical and Heritage
Society was organized in 1991.
In these past twelve years the
genealogy library has
experienced rapid growth and
expansion. Hundreds of
memorials and donations have
been given to purchase books,
research materials, and other
supplies to make this one of the
finest genealogy libraries in East
Texas.
Our membership drive for
2004 began October 1st. We hope
to double our membership next
year. Individual membership is
$15.00 and family membership is
$25.00. Celebrate your
connection to Timpson and its
history by joining today. Call the
library at 936-254-3500 for
membership information or write
to TAGHS, Box 726, Timpson,
TX 75975. The quarterly
newsletter, TAPROOT,
containing interesting and
informative articles, is sent to all
members of TAGHS.
Current TAGHS officers are:
Maude Parker, president; Esther
Marie Harvey, vice-president and
membership chair; Marian
Bodiford, recording secretary;
Louise Martin, treasurer; Patsy
Watson, corresponding secretary;
Tempie Pike, librarian; Ethel
Moreland, archivist; Sandra
Brownlow, parliamentarian and
program chair; David Pike,
TAPROOT editor.
The library is located in the
Chamber of Commerce building
on Bremond Street. We have a
staff of dedicated volunteers to
greet and assist visitors to the
library Monday through Friday
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Make plans to tour the library and
explore the wonderful world of
genealogy.

REMEMBERING BRADY
February 14, 1986 - November 6, 1999
You gave us joy and so much love
We feel we’re truly blessed,
That God entrusted you to us
Ahead of all the rest.
Oh how we long to hold you
Like we did when you where small
Instead we hold your memories
So beautiful to recall
And when we get to Heaven,
A smiling angel we will see,
Just like on earth, you ’ll call to us
((Hi Mom and Dad, it’s me”
We’ll wrap you in our loving arms
And hold you to our hearts,
Our joy with in will be complete,
We’ll never have to part.
There is not a day goes by that
we don’t think of yon; We love and miss you so much!
Momma, Daddy, Brent, Kelsey
