NOTES—James M.
Edge of Carthage, re-
newed his sub for another
year and says he enjoys the
paper very nuch. (Thanks,
James, we appreciate you
very much. Thank you,)
Ramona Williams says
“she is sorry her renewal
is late but the days pass so
fast.” (This is true,
Ramona, our love and
prayers to you.)
Belinda Solomon writes:
“Hi, Mrs. Florence. An-
other year for the paper and
I couldn’t live without the
news all the “goings on.”
Our class had their “42”
Class Reunion over Fron-
tier Days. IT send you a
picture so you can put it
in the paper. Thanks again
for all the hard work all of
youdo to have such a good
paper. “ (Thanks, Belinda,
for all the good words. It’s
folks like you we love and
appreciate that makes the
whole thing possible.)
RESTING—had a few
days off last week to stop
and relax and gather my
thoughts for this week.
Hope you missed me! I re-
ally don’t know how
“gathered” my thoughts
are, but I feel better and
have gained two pounds
(102). I’ve been having
some of Pat Myers’
Mahaw Jelly and toast and
have gotten back to hav-
ing breakfast every morn-
ing.
TIMPSON— We have
been asked to give people
warning about people who
are knocking on doors ask-
ing for money. There are a
lot of scams out there and
the local police is urging
you to be made aware of
these activities. Don’t open
your doors to someone you
have any suspicions about.
It is always nice to be
able to help someone who
is in need, but the trouble
is there are so many who
ask or beg for money who
are only wanting to feed a
drug habit. You are not do-
ing them a favor by donat-
ing to that cause, be care-
ful not to give your hard
earned money out to a bad
seed.
TENAHA— Several
deaths about the area. We
are sending our sympathy
to the J.C. Wilkerson fam-
ily on the loss of their loved
one.
Also Syble Pitts Harris
whose died this past week
and will leave her brother
Willie Pitts and her sister
Avis Vickery to grieve.
Syble graduated from
Tenaha High School and
leaves many friends and
relatives.
We send our sympathy.

Once on a very cold
winter day, a man made a
visit to Niagara Falls. He
was amazed at the beau-
tiful scenery of water, ice,
snow and trees. As he was
taking in all the beauty of
the falls and surrounding
area, he noticed some
birds diving down, skim-
ming the water drinking
from the river. The birds
would fly up from the
river through the mist
caused by the rushing
water over the falls. The
mist was collecting and
freezing allover the birds.
After only a few dips and
passing through the mist,
the ice became so heavy
the birds plunged to their
deaths in the falls below.
From the very begin-
ning, mankind has had a
problem with sin. There is
non righteous (Rom. 3:10).
We all have sinned and
fallen away from God
(Rom.3:23). All who pro-
fess not to sin only deceive
themselves (1 Jn. 1:7-10).
Sin is disobedience to
God. It is a violation of
God’s will. When ones
does what God has forbid-
den, it is a sin. For ex-
ample, God has forbidden
lying, stealing, murder, for-
nication, and etc. All who
engage in these acts com-
mit sin. All who know
what is good but will not
do it, that individual sins
(Jas.4:17). God’s distaste
toward man’s wickedness
brought on the destmction
of the world with water
(Gen.6). The same hap-
pened to the Pharaoh of
Egypt and his army in the
Red Sea (Ex.14). Be-
cause of their wickedness
sins, Sodom and
Gomorrah were destroyed
when it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven
(Gen. 19). Nedab and
Abihu, sons of Aaron,
were devoured by fire
from heaven for changing
the alter fire (Lev.l0:l-3).
Korah, Dathan, and
Abiram were destroyed
for rebellion (Num.16).
Ananias and Sapphira
were destroyed for lying,
hypocrisy, and greed
(Acts 5). Though God is
merciful to those who turn
from sin and obey his will,
those who disobey him
and persist in evil doing
and wickedness will re-
ceive for a reward, the

What a great week we
have enjoyed at Corinth
MB Church this past week.
We enjoyed a great time of
revival each evening. Bro.
Fawrence Thompson, pas-
tor of Tone Cedar MB
Church near Center was
the evangelist. He inspired
and challenged us a church
to do what God wants His
churches to be doing. He
is a great preacher and God
blessed us with a great
message each evening. We
had great singing and lots
of visitors. Also enjoyed a
great time of fellowship and
ice cream on Friday
evening after services. The
quartet from Mt. Olive MB
church came and sang for
us on Friday. One of the
songs they sang was “The
Midnight Cry.” Jacob
Dukes was the lead singer
and he did a great job. It
was all great singing.
This week we are in
Vacation Bible School, so
we will be meeting 9 a.m.
to 11:30 a.m. The workers
prepared their rooms etc.
on Sunday after morning
service. The church met in
a called business meeting
after the morning service
and voted to call Bro.
Carroll Jones to pastor the
church. God is leading the
church and we hope to
serve Him by supporting
Bro. Jones as he leads us.
Please pray for us.

wrath of God.
God has given mankind
the only remedy for sin.
He has given every hu-
man being a chance to be
totally free from Satan
and sin. God’s Son, the per-
fect Lamb, gave his life’s
blood as a libation for sin
so mankind can be recon-
ciled to God. He invites
ALL to come (Matt. 11:28-
29). All who continue to
DIP IN THE CESSPOOL
OF SIN AN INIQUITY
will one day pay an awful
price.
The birds that died get-
ting water did not have the
intelligence to know they
were in danger, for if they
had, they could have
moved up the river and
drank safely. God gave
man intelligence and the
freedom of choice. If men
and women do not use
their intelligence to save
themselves from SIN,
SATAN, AND, HELL,
FIRE, they are no differ-
ent than the birds, espe-
cially is this tme of those
who had rather go to
HELL FIRE than OBEY
THE LORD. Friend, are
you smarter than those
birds of Niagara Falls?
JUST CURIOUS!
