Tom Perkins served on the Federal
grandjury at Sherman Monday and
Tuesday. Messrs. H. T. Clack, I. M.
Logan, and J. Thos. Robinson went
to Sherman Monday to serve on the
| petit Federal jury and bad not return-
ed Wednesday night.
Mr. F. G. Tidwell returned Tuesday
from a ten days visit with his daugh-
| ter, Mrs. F. Gilbert Clifton, in Chica-
[ go. He said the weather was pleas-
ant while there, but the blizzard
chased him in and the weather was be-
coming icy when he arrived home.
We wish to express our sincere
thanks to our many friends and neigh-
bors for the kindness shown us in our
recent sorrow, especially to Dr. Col-
lins for his untiring efforts in admin-
istering to our dear husband and fath-
er, and to the Methodist people for so

Knott’s Bakery at McKinney. He has

P. K. Gattis formerly of this city had
a paralytic stroke at his home in Den-
ison Friday and that his condition is
serious. He had been in poor health
for some weeks.

I have purchased the W. M. Gates
Bakery in Celina, which will be contin-
ued at the same stand. The baking
will be done at McKinney and our Ce-
lina customers will be served Aunt
Betty Bread, either at the Bakery or
at any of the local grocery stores.

Maurice Skibell of the Grand Lea-
der returned Saturday from Houston,
where he met his mother, who arriv-
ed direct from Poland. Maurice had
not seen his mother in sixteen years
and it was a joyful meeting. Mrs.
Skibell stopped in Dallas, where she
has other relatives and friends.
