Mac Winn sprained an ankle a
few days ago when he stepped out
of his car onto a cob that rolled
and caused him to fall. The injury
has caused him no little pain.
Henry Rodgers was confined to
his home Wednesday by illness,
his first time in eighteen years to
lose a day from his place of busi-
ness on account of sickness.
Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Bray and
daughter, Mrs. J. W. Sprinkle, and
Miss Mabel Tidwell visited Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Jennings of Deni-
son Friday.

ite, was here for a short time

Willards was home on
Frank Hendon, with the Army,
stationed at Oklahoma City, vis-
ited his folks here from Friday to
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Perkins
and two sons of Dallas spent the
week-end with relatives of this
community.
Mrs. Tip Mize, southwest of Ce-
lina, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Cage Stone of Prosper Sunday
night.
Mr. and Mrs. Noel O’Dell of
Alla and Mrs. Tom Winn and Mrs.
J. R. Stone, south of Celina, were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Per-
ry at Saginaw Friday.

and Mrs. J. B. Skidmore of Denton

Mrs. Tom Glendenning returned

coast. She was away from home
for four weeks and visited Mr.

Emma Stelzer at Berkeley, Calif.,
Mrs, Lynn and Miss Stelzer being
her sisters, and her son, Don Glen-
denning, at Seattle, a member of
the Navy, who sailed last Mon
day.

WENT TO GOOSE CREEK
FOR TONSILS OPERATION
Eddie Clark, who lives west of
Celina went to Goose Creek Fri-
day for the purpose of having his
tonsils removed. He expected to
spend a week at Goose Creek with
his sister, Mrs. J. C. Holsomback,
and her husband, Dr. Holsomback,
who was to perform the operation.

Mrs. J. p. Mills and her newly
bom son home from a Denton hos-
pital Sunday.
J. T. Jones, who was in a Sher-
man hospital some days having an
injured eye treated, was brought
home in the Helms ambulance
Sunday.
The 10-months-old child of Mrs.
Addie Shedd was reported ill of a
severe cold first of the week at
her home north of Celina.
Mrs. Martha Ray Sanders de-
parted Wednesday for Cheyenne,
Wyo., to spend three or four weeks
with her husband, serving in the
Army transportation division. Mrs.
Sanders was formerly Miss Mar-
tha Ray Gunter, daughter of Mrs.
Jim Lewis.
