For a real bargain,
get a real truck!
QURE, you can save a few dollars
O now on a truck price-tagged
slightly less than a GMC. But if you
want a bargain that will still be a
bargain after years of hard truck-
work, ask these questions before
you buy:
Does the truck give you a GMC’s
105 H.P.? That’s up to 19% more
power than comparable sixes. It
hustles a GMG’s top loads up tough
pulls—without engine strain.
Does it have a GMG’s 8.0 to 1 super-
high-compression? That gives you
quicker getaways — more drive —
better mileage. All on regular gas.
Does it offer a GMG’s engine-sparing
Truck Hydra-Matic* ? With it, you
say good-bye to gearshift wrestling.
No more clutch repairs. Mainte-
nance costs shrink.
Does it have the extra protection
of a GMC’s self-energizing brakes?
The extra comfort of a GMG’s “Six-
Footer” cab?The handling ease of a
GMG’s ball-bearing steering action?
If all the answers are “yes,” you have
a real bargain—a GMC. And there
are 19 handsome %- to 1-ton models
to choose from. How can you lose ?
chassis; optional at moderate extra cost on all
others.

Yes, here’s how to get extra attention from a man.
Just sit him down to his favorite dinner cooked
electrically. There’s lots of man-sized appeal in a
roast or stew with all the juicy goodness sealed in!
And you can bet he won’t skip those vegetables with
garden-fresh flavor. Best of all, you manage to stay
cool and attractive with clean,
effortless cooking on an electric
range! See the modern Elec-
tric Ranges on display at
dealers’ stores.

Gas is the only automatic fuel that
gives you separate broiler in single

bake and broil at same time.
She had disappeared without leaving any word, so the
husband asked the police for help. After a couple of days, a
detective .phoned the husband: “I guess we found your wife.”
“Is she all right? What does she say?”
“She doesn’t say a word.”
“Then it ain’t her.”
An old Texas cowpoke on vacation a thousand miles from
home stopped at a country store. The farmers were talking
about the drought. The Texan laughed, “Ha, it’s so dry in
Texas we got fish three years old that don’t know how to
swim.”

See any smoke from the cigarette?
The flame consumes it. In same
