The Amigas Class of the Bap-
tist Church met at the home of
Mrs. Creth Lewis Thursday
night with Mrs. Geo. Townsend
and Mrs. Horace Keith serving
as co-hostesses.
Zinnias were used through
the home.
Mrs. Cecil Overby gave the
devotional and introduced Miss
Samye Hill who gave a report
on her trip to Ridgecrest. N. C.
where she attended the Baptist
Encampment of the Young Wo-
mens' Auxilliarv.
During the business session
it was decided to have the Aug-
ust picnic at the regular meet-
ing time.
A refreshment plate was

menced his second week of in-
tensive Infantry training at the
1962 GMS ROTC summer camp
being held at the 'RS Army Ar-
tillery and Missile Center. Fort
Sill Oklahoma.
The ROTC program produces
approximately 14000 officers
annually and is the primary
source of officers for the Active
Army and its Reserve and Na-
tional Guard Components. More
than half of all the officers
commissioned in the Regular
Armv come for the ROTO pro
gram. The program is designed
to permit progressive evaluation
of college students and insures
selection of only the best qual
ified for commissions.
