BRIDGE TO SOMEWHERE- Volunteers, headed by Pat Leatherwood, are making
progress in cutting down a metal bridge brought in from the county to be preserved
for the Dublin Museum. It will be placed over the stream between N. Park and the
library grounds, opening up more access to the library and Veterans’ Memorial.
Completion of the reconstruction of the bridge with new lumber is expected within
the next month or so. Photo by Mac McKinnon

Katie Keith said the youths
at Highland Baptist Church
had a "Messy Party" last
week. They had water
balloon fights, a flour bomb
war and a slip N1 side which
was lathered up with all
kinds of fun stuff such as
water, baby soap, baby oil &
powder, eggs, canola oil and
olive oil to make it slippery.
The youths were asked to
bring a change of clothing
after being hosed down with
a water hose. Everyone had
a great time. Afterwards,
they had a bible study with
pizza to eat at the end of
the evening.
Jana Roan said the
Pausitive Band put on a
great show when they
played at the Community
Baptist Church. The musical
team is from Goldthwaite
and have been playing for
several year. Joseph Jackson
was the back up fiddler for
that evening. The band
often plays at the Cross
Timber Opera House in
Stephenville.
The menu for next Sunday
is Italian.
Sonia Evans and girls went
to visit Chris's parents in
Mount Pleasant, then on to
her parents home in Athens
and returned home
Wednesday.
We had some new visitors
at church Sunday, Pat and
Larry Outlaw. They were
living in Snyder but now
have returned back here to
their roots.
Ronald Mathis and his
children came Wednesday
to go fishing and ride the
four wheeler and returned
home Thursday afternoon.
Quilts, Quits, Quilts! There
is still time for you to
purchase tickets to win a
quilt which the proceeds
will benefit the American
Heart Association Heart
Walk. Tickets can be
purchased in the Belknap
Lobby in the Stephenville
hospital from any of the
Volunteers.
Mildred and Chance
