Miss Effie Gwen Dobson and
Clarence Edward Leetherwood,
IQ were united in marriages at
the St. Mark's Lutheran Church
in Mineral Wells Saturday, Aug-
ust 18, 1973, at 8 o’dock. The
double ring ceremony was of-
ficiated by Hugo Hannusch of
San Antonio, uncle of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Dobson, Sr.,
of Mineral Wells. The groom’s
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Claren-
ce Edward Leatherwood, II. ut
Dublin. C. E. Leatherwood is the
groom’s grandfather.
Traditional wedding music was
furnished by Mr. Dallas Coilever,
organist, and Mr. Paul Hannusch,
soloist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
princess style gown accented at
the top with crocheted lace. A
long front panel of crocheted lace
encircled the bottom of her gown
and set off her soft white floppy
hat and floor lenght veil. She
carried a rainbow of flowers,
roses, baby mums, carnations de-
corated with strings of pearls.
Spiral candlabras holding beau-
tiful blue candle holders trimmed
with greenery surrounded the
altar and centered the kneeling
bench and accented the huge
arrangement on the altar for the
church decorations.
Miss Becky Dobson, sister of
foe bride was the maid of honor.
She wore a baby blue gingham
long dress, flowers in her hair
>nd carried a small umbrella
made to match her dress.
Bridesmaids were Sherrill Han-
nusch, cousin of the bride of
Houston; Janna Sanders of
Boyd; Sharon Cannon of Lubbock;
Shirley Anderson of De Leon and
Luann Leatherwood, sister to the
groom of Dublin. Her attendants
ware pink, green, lilac, yellow
and turquoise gingham long
dresses of empire waist with a
scoop neckline. Each carried
small umbrellas matching their
dresses.
Bill Buchanan of Birmingham,
Alabama served as best man.
Groomsmen were Gary Aardal of
Dublin, Kelly Dobson. Jr., broth-
er of the bride of Mineral Wells,
Pat Leatherwood, brother of the
groom of Dublin and Jimmy Lea-
therwood, brother of the groom
of Dublin. Ushers were Pat
Leatherwood and Kelly Dob-
son, Jr. brothers of the bride
and groom.
Flower girl was Lisa Hannusch
of Austin wearing an orange ging-
ham dress matching the brides-
maids. She is the briJe’s niece.
David Leatherwood was ring
bearer and brother of the groom.
A reception was given by the
bride’s parents rat the church
lawn setting the scene for soft
candles, flowers and lace. Mem-
bers of the house party were Ann
Gilder, De Leon; Rhonda Hud-
dleston. De Leon; Prissy Owens.
Karen Parvin, Kathy Morris and
Angie Forgy all of Keller.
The bride’s table of white was
decorated with a rainbow of

1900 in the Harbin Community,
Erath County Texas to Berry
Allen Patton and Alice Godfrey
.Patton. He married Edith Culver
on March 29, 1989 in Dublin. He
was a member of the Cottonwood
Baptist Church and was presently
Post Commander of the Dublin
American Legion. Patton served
in WW n and was a retired poul-
try farmer at the time of Us
death.
Surviving relatives include Ms
wife, Mrs. Fred Patton and rate
step-son Bufford Shaffer of Fort
Worth; his sister Mrs. Jim
■flapghter of Tulsa, Okla; and a
brother Reeves Patton of Dublin.
Pallbearers were Marvin Far-
ris, Albert Traweek. Roscoa
Young, E. G. Abies, A. B. Tide-
baud and Lee E. Morris. ,

T’le fair was on and the fine
rains came which we needed.
But both were fine.
We are so glad to report this
Mrs- Dorris Mller who had the
car reck is doing just fine. They
had to fix her hip twice but at
last report she was out of inten-
sive care. We are all preying
for a quick recovery.
The Garden Club met at the
Friendship reran in Baptist
Church Wednesday, Sept. 12. Mrs.
Elite Self was hostess chairman
with nine co-hostesses which were
Mimes. Heniy Allgood, J. C.
Turney; Miss Lorlne Higginboth-
am; Mmes. J. B. Hallmark, R.
D. Whitfield, E. C. ShUUngburg,
Albert Traweek, Effie Hall.
The Thursday Club met with
Mrs. Ellie Self and Charline and
Paula. We had a very nice time
with only one missing. All drew
new Polly names tor the next
year.
My good friends Mi-, and Mrs.
A. C. Woods came by Sunday for
me to go with them to St. Joe
singing- and it was a wonderful
evening, so many fine leaders
and all selections seemed great.
We are also glad to report that
Gene Campbelljwhg hag an op-,
peration in Fort Words, came
out with good report Hope he
will soon be back to church,
Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Logan
visited me Wednesday also to be
with Mr. and Mrs. Verlon Wal-
ters who were here from their
visit to Canada. But they had to
leave Friday for their home at
Buna to attend to some business
there They travel most all time
on account of my son-in-law’s
health. But of course I enjoy
every minute with them.

Mrs. Grace Chatham to Lamesa
Tuesday to attend to business and
will visit some relatives while in
the west.

phenville visited her mother Mrs.

December ’73 graduate of Tarle-
ton State University.
