Presented in marriage by her
mother and father, the bride wore an
ivory gown designed by Jim Hjelm
for Galina. Fashioned of rustling
taffeta, the gown featured puffy,
modified leg-o-mutton sleeves and a
high wedding band neckline. Im-
ported Alencon lace encrusted with
seed pearls and iridescents fashioned
a snug bodice and sculptured low
back. The classic elegant skirt fanned
into a cathedral length train.
For her headpiece, the bride chose
a delicate ivory caplet of matching
lace and seed pearls catching up the
fingertip length veil of silk illusion.
Cherry Riggle Pichot, sister of the
bricfe of Bakersfield, Calif., attended
as matron of honor. Lori Beth Riggle
of Austin, Elizabeth Smith of San
Antonio and Nancy Sugarek of
Beeville were bridesmaids.
The attendants wore tea-length
faille taffeta dresses of peacock blue

Methodist Church parlor. The four-
tiered bride’s cake was decorated
with fresh peacock blue and white
flowers. A loose arrangement of calla
lillies highlighted the bride’s table
where fruit punch was served from a
crystal bowl.
The bridegroom’s table was
adorned with an arrangement of
fresh fruit and prottia on a grapevine
bed. German chocolate cake and
coffee in a silver service were served
from the table.
Light hors d’oeuvres were served
from an additional table decorated
with tiered miniature hurricane

the bride’s cake were Susan Rossow,

blue fuji chrysanthemums and
sweetheart roses interspersed with
lace fern and gypsophelia.

Byrd Bonner and his fiance, Miss
Patty Rigglg, were honored with a
rehearsal dinner at 7:30 p.m. Friday,
l adainty place card adorned with
wedd*Ujoells and doves.
Dr. Dan E. Bonner Jr. gave the
invocation.
The bride was prkseflted a white
orchid corsage and the briddferoom
wore a wihite rosebud and orange
blossom boutonniere. The host and
hostess wished them a lifetime of
happiness and good fortune.
The dipnA consisted of fresh cress
salad with vinaigrette dressing, filet
mignon, potatoes au gratin’, snow
peas, hot rolls and iced ted\ Dessert
was French Napoleon pastries with
cafe au lait followed by demitasse.
Following dinner, toasts of bVst
wishes were led by the best man.

ussed their families' affections to
the' honorees with emphasis and
appreciation for their heritage. Also

the toasts in which the bride’s sister,
the Rev. _ JaaiCe Huie, and her
husband, the Rev Bob Huie, sang to
the honored couple. The group sang
several love songs accompanied by
Mrs. Scott Mouton at the piano. Byrd
Bonner expressed greeting to the
families and friends, many of whom
had traveled great distances to at-
tend the wedding festivities. He also
sang a love song to his bride.
The hostess, Mrs. Bonner,
responded to the guests with a
greeting and expressed hope, faith
and love for the honorees. Everyone
joined hands in a prayer circle as
benedictions were given by the Revs.

the bride wore a traditional bridal
gown of white Chantilly lace
featuring long sleeves adorned with
Chantilly lace and tiers of lace which
flowed into a full circle skirt. Motifs
of matching lace with seed pearls
cascaded downward onto the train
that fell from the natural waistline.
Her veil of illusion and matching
Chantilly lace was accented with lace
rosettes and seed pearls.
The bride carried out the tradition
of something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue
and a sixpence in her show, The
sixpence came from England and
was presented to the bride as a gift.
The bride carried a cascade of

and pink and burgundy roses and
baby's breath accented with long
streamers of pink and burgundy satin
