Generating Station will be built on a site
about five miles north of Glen Rose in
Somervsll County.
Q. "Will some other companies be
getting power from the plant?”

A. Yes. The plant will be jointly owned
and utilized by Texas Power & Light.Tlallas

involved?”
A. Approximately 8,500 acres. This will
include a 3,200-acre lake adjoining the |
plant which will provide cooling water for ^
the plant.

supplies of natural gas end oil compel a
change to more economical and readily

coal. While it is anticipated that lignite will
continue tp be an important fuel well
beyond the year 2000, the long-range
solution to fuel problems appears to lie In
nuclear generating plants.
