North Hopkins news
A lot of comments have been made
and memories been recalled about
the old big trees that stood on the
edge of a thenbig pool at the Withrow
home place that have been removed
by the workers on the Cooper Lake
project.
Lots of children have fished, with
fat meat, for crawfish from the pool,
a number of the elderly citizens
remember being baptized \there,
mules and horses of neighbors, or
people just passing through the
country, stopped to water their
animals.
The trees still made a good shade
for ladies while they used Verda’s
beauty shop and the squirrels used it
to store their winter food supplies
that was a joy to many to watch their
faithful labor and exercise.
