It has been a great and
busy week at Dublin
Intermediate!
After completing our first
six weeks, Gold Star honored
students celebrated their
success at the pumpkin
patch Friday, Silver Star
honored students received
popsicles at lunch, began
interventions for the second
six weeks, kicked off our
yearly fundraising activities,
and welcomed our first
DOG of the year to our
campus on Tuesday
Morning!
Mr. Willard Mann, long-
time resident and business
owner of Dublin was our
first volunteer for D.O.G.S.
After leading our morning
pledge, Mr. Mann hit the
ground running - visiting
classrooms, talking with
children between classes
and reading to students in
Mrs. Daniels' 5th grade
reading class. When asked
how he felt, Mr. Mann
responded as to the
complexity that is found in
today's classroom and how
impressed he was with the
diligent work he saw from
the students. “I gave
stickers to one whole class!”
he beamed as the students
were transitioning from one
class to another. Thank
you, Mr. Mann, for taking
time from your busy
schedule to spend a day
with Dublin’s future.
With the wonderful rain
falling, students are having
extra time to catch up on
the AR books following
lunch. The second six
weeks should see an
increase in library' book
checkouts and AR tests in
the library.
Ihe F.O.R. (Friends of
Rachel) Club met again
Thursday during lunch with
90 students in attendance.
During the meeting, a thank
you card was created for
Parry' Sjolin for making our
Watch D.O.G.S. mascot for
our building! Our new
friend guards our entrance
and welcomes our students
each morning as they come
to school.
The members of the club
also took their week three
assignments that included
mentoring a younger
person, writing their best
friend a kindness letter, and
discussing how to overcome
obstacles in their journals,
as well as considering the
quote of Walt Disney, “All
our dreams can come true
- if we have the courage to
pursue."
Congratulations I.ady
Lions in defeating Hawley
Saturday and Eastland on
Tuesday. Good luck Friday
night against Breckenridge!!
We look forward to a
football win against the
Clyde Bulldogs Friday night
as the Lions take the home
field in district play.
