He was born Nov. 10. 1912, in
Greenville, the son of Ivan H. Hardin
and Gertrude Johnson Hardin. He
married Marye Starnes Oct. 26,1939,
in Dallas. She survives of Dallas.
He was a member of the Highland
Park United Methodist Church. He
was a retired sound engineer.
Other survivors include three
brothers, James T. Hardin of
Philadelphia, Jack M. Hardin of
Saganaw, and Paul Hardin of
McKinney; two sisters, LaRue Hart
of Lubbock and C.E. Alspaugh of
Oklahoma.

Mrs. Lee died Wednesday at the
home of her daughter in Dallas.
She was born Feb. 8,1894, in Reilly
Springs, the daughter of John P. and
Sarah Bamburg Wallace. She
married George Oscar Lee April 16,
1911, in Yantis. He preceded her in
death in 1974.
She was a housewife and a
member of the First United
Methodist Church in Sulphur
Springs.
She was a longtime resident of
Hopkins County and had resided in
Dallas for eight years.
Survivors include a son, Johnny
Duane Lee of Dallas; a daughter,
Monette Streckmann of Dallas; a
sister, Roselle Kirkbride of
Arlington; three grandchildren; and
eight great-grandchildren

Mr. Fuller died Aug. 26, at his
residence.
He was born Sept. 21, 1909, in

Fuller and Martha Murdock Fuller.
He was married to Julia Adams
Fuller. She survives.
He was retired from LTV Cor-
poration and was a cattleman and
farmer.

She was a retired teacher, having

Dallas. She was also employed at
Tom Whiteside Florist for the past
seven years.
She was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred
Randolph of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by a
brother, T.J. Randolph.

She was bom Jan. 29, 1899, in
Lawrenceburgh, Tenn., the
daughter of Henry Matthew Wilhite
and Alice Cox Wilhite. She married
Otha Leon (Shorty) Patterson Sept.
16,1917, in the Emblem Community.
He preceded her in death Jan. 25,
1955.
She was a housewife and a
member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three
daughters, Ovetra Evans of Cumby,
Elouise Pennington of Sulphur
Springs and Ann Doss of Ridgeway;
a brother, Rudolph Wilhite of
Whitesboro; four sisters, Estelle
Love of Roxton, Jessie Rhodes and
Opal Herman, both of Dallas, and
Dollie Chapman of The Colony;
eight grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-
grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four

County. He was bom there Sept. 16,
1914, the son of James George
Cavanaugh and Mattie Elizabeth
I Hinsdale.
He was a rancher and a veteran of
World War II.
He married Vivian Elizabeth
Blount Nov. 6, 1944. She died April 9,
1971.
Survivors include one daughter,
Patsy Cavanaugh of Howe; one
brother, Jack Cavanaugh of
Garland; six sisters, Margie Wells
and Mary McGuyer, both of Sulphur
Springs, Helen Harmon of Point,
Irene Watson of Paris, Willie Mae

Patterson, 63, of Tira, were held

Mr. Patterson died Thursday at
his residence.
He was born Oct. 27, 1922, in
Sulphur Springs, the son of Willy W.
and Nancy Wester Patterson. He
married Maxene Horn Jan. 10,1942,
in Commerce. She survives.
He was a retired shop supervisor
for the City of Dallas. He was a
member of the Tira United
Methodist Church and a veteran of
World War II having served in the
U.S. Army Air Corps.
Other survivors include three
sons, Ronnie Patterson of San Jose,
Calif., Randall Patterson of Tira,
and Richard Patterson of Dallas; a
daughter, Sherry Sisk of Canton,
Ga.; three brothers, Billy Patterson
of Lancaster, Benny Patterson of

Jefferson; two sisters, Norma

Mrs. Jim Miller of Como has
returned from Jeanerette, La., where
she attended the funeral of a niece,
Kathy Martin Aucoin, daughter of

Orleans. Mrs. Aucoin is survived by
her husband, Dennis, and four
chidren, Jimmy, Mindy, Denny and
Misty. She was the granddaughter of
the late Dena Steed Dickey of Sulphur

MR. AND MRS. S.T. Garrison have
returned home from their separate
educational pursuits. Mrs. Garrison
was on the Baylor University cam-
pus, where 400 debators gathered
from California to New Jersey and
from Nebraska to Florida, to help
those students get ready for another
year of debate. She was also in
Richardson for two days presenting
teacher workshops. Mr. Garrison
attended an appraisal school in
Arlington to qualify to the top degree
in appraising.

is a sophomore at Sulphur Springs
High School and the son of Dr. and
Mrs. Ronnie Stanley.
JANNELLE ANNE Clark has
graduated from Stephens College, a
four-year private women's college in
Columbia, Mo., with a bachelor of
arts degree. She received an
academic scholarship each year she
attended the college, served on the
Judicial Board in 1982 and 1983 and
was on the modeling squad from 1982-
1986, serving as vice president of the
squad her final year. She is the
daughter of Ms. Tootsie Clark of

ROBERT DORSEY of Sulphur
Springs has been named to Who’s
Who Among American High School
Students based on his academic
achievements. Dorsey is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Art Dorsey of Sulphur
Springs.
ALLEN NAUGLE was graduated
from Louisiana State University in
May with a degree in civil
engineering and was commissioned
with honors as a lieutenant in the U.S.
Air Force. He reported for active
duty on July 15 to Sheppard Air Force
Base in Wichita Falls. Naugle is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Naugle of
Henryville, Ind., and the grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Rolan H. Dickson of
Sulphur Springs.
KAYLA PRICE, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frankie Price, Route 4 in
Sulphur Springs, has been working as
an orientation leader for the Lions’
Roar conferences this summer at
East Texas State University, ac-
cording to Dr. Linda Clinton, coor-
dinator of orientation and leadership
development at ETSU. The Lions’
Roar program is designed to in-
troduce new students to the ETSU
campus and to help them make a
successful transition to college Jjfe.
