Ceremony Planned
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Bolton of Sulphur Springs announce
the engagement and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Tammy Renee, to Michael Ray Raulerson, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. West of Fort Worth and Dwight
Raulerson of San Antonio. The couple will exchange vows at
2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in the Lake Highlands Baptist
Church, Sulphur Springs, with the Rev. Dennis Murr of-
ficiating’. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Rehoboth Association
Business & Professional Women
The Sulphur Springs chapter of Business and Professional Women met
Tuesday, April 22, at the Woman’s Building with Christine Street presiding.
The invocation was given Jay Mary Conley Estes. Following the meal, a
short business meeting was held. Guests were recognized.
It was announced that the Board of Directors of the Woman’s Building is
sponsoring a game day Monday, May 19, with proceeds going toward the
paving of the parking lot. B&PW will furnish three door prizes provided by
Mildred Cahalan. Ruth Long and Allene McKeown volunteered to help set up
tables for the games, and Mrs. Long also volunteered to help serve the
luncheon.
Lorece James introduced Teresa Bennett, who presented the program on
color consultant. She showed members how some cololrs complement a
person more and bring out their best points.
Alma Putnam was selected as the group’s club nominee for Outstanding
Older Texas for the Fun and Frolic activities scheduled for Saturday, May
10.
Members and guests attending included Mildred Cahalan, Thelma
Campbell, Frances Davis, Mary Conley Estes, Lillian Gee, Addie Maye
Glover, Bessie Goldsmith, Lorece James, Nell Long, Ruth Long, Allene
McKeown, Christine Street, Valeta Jobe, Louise Rorie, Mrs. Wylie Jobe,
Ruth Payne, Florie McDowell, Louise Hewett, Dorothy Rogers, Freda
Leeright and Teresa Bennett.
Dial Study Club
The home of Dawn Sheffield was the setting for Dial Study Club’s last
meeting of the club year Thursday, April 24.
Lydia Bryant, club president, presided over the business meeting during
which members were reminded of the Cystic Fibrosis Balloon sale to be held
during the Dairy Festival Parade Saturday, May 3, and at the Game Day
Monday, May 19, at the Woman’s Building.
Debbie Wright, club president for the 1986-87 club year, introduced
Ruthmary Hall, a past Dial president, who installed the officers for the
upcoming year using.
Mrs. Hall presented each of the new officers a Texas flag. The include
Debbie Wright, president; Wendy Wolfe, vice president; Trish Sellers,
secretary; Suzanne Bauer, treasurer; Kathy Payne, reporter; Jan Harper,
historian; Lydia Bryanht, parliamentarian; Sharon Thompson, secretary' to
Woman’s Forum.
Refreshments were served to members attending including Suzanne
Bauer, Denise Booher, Debbie Booker, Lydia Bryant, Linda Burgin, Carol
Gee, Jan Harper, Cynthia Harris, Helen McKinney, Sandy Morgan, Jane
Noteware, Kathy Payne, Nancy Rooks, Trish Sellers, Dawn Sheffield,
Sharon Thompson, Patti Vaculik, Wendy Wolfe, Carol Worsham, Debbie
Wright, Diana Longino and guest Ruthmary Hall.
Dial Study Club and Junior Waverly Club held their annual joint Spring
Social Thursday, April 10, in the home of Duranne Arids with Junior Waverly
hosting.—
Members were treated to an evening of friendship, dinner and games.
Kappa Omicron
A program, The Women Were There All the Time," was presented during
the Kappa Omicron chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma meeting held Monday
night, April 21, at Wesley United Methodist Church.
In the introduction of the program, women who have made contributions
to Texas were discussed. Club members portrayed pioneer women who
helped build Texas.
Each character gave a first-person account of her experiences during the
pioneer days of Texas. Portraying the women were June Johnston, Jocelyn
Campbell, Martha Dobson, Becky Berry and Barbara I .aw.
Hostesses for the meeting included Laurine Garrison, chairman; Shirley
Moore, Ruth Sheer, Melba Anglin, Jackie Brice, Nancy Stephens and Elsie
Fay Bolger.
President Mary Jane Bradberry presided during the meeting, and Nancy
Stephens gave the devotional.
Other members attending included Florine Mills, Florene Adams, Oleta
Banks, Weda Griffin, Pauline Hayden, Billie Phillips, Jean Bell, Betty
Chapman, Janie McMackin, Diana McGregor.
ALso attending were Mildred Cahalan, Gladys Allen, Adell Hale, Betzi
Parker, Mary Lou Durham, Valeta Jobe, Mary Conley Estes, RuthJ^ong,
Marynell Bryant and Judy Tipping.
Wedding Planned
Kathy Conine and Michael Withrow will be united in
marriage Saturday, May 31, in the Shiloh Terrace Baptist
Church in Dallas. The bride-elect is the daughter of Darryl
and Sandra Conine of Forney. Parents of the prospective
bridegroom are Eutice and Sue Withrow of Dallas. He is
also the grandson of T.B. and Verdis Logsdon of Sulphur
Springs and Merl Withrow of Dallas, formerly of Sulphur
Springs. Withrow is a 1979 graduate of Bryan Adams High
School and attended Eastfield Community College. He is
employed with Dallas Power and Light.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wesley Sharber of Sulphur Springs
announce the engagement and approaching marriage of
their daughter, Shelly Michele, to William Kelly Wiser, son
of Ms. Francis Simmons of Sulphur Springs. The couple
plan to wed at 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, in the First Baptist
Church, Sulphur Springs. Friends and relatives are invited
to attend the ceremony and reception following in the
church annex.
The semi-annual Rehoboth Association .Senior Adult picnic, was held
Thursday, April 24, at the Rehoboth encampment on I^ake Cypress Springs.
Approximately 50 members and guests attended i ^presenting area
churches including Yantis, New Life-Cooper, New Hope, Glade Springs and
Mount Vernon.
The Rev. and Mrs. Steve Emmanuel, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church,'
presented the program of songs, games and a devotional on love. A picnic
lunch was held under the trees, and some enjoyed fishing.
The New Life-Cooper Church and its pastor will be in charge of the picnic
in October with the date to be announced later. All Senior Adults of the
Rehoboth Association are invited to attend.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lee Jr of Sulphur Springs announce the
engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter,
Toni Denise, to Keith Maddox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jakie
Petty of Sulphur Springs and Jack Maddox of Hatfield, Pa.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in
Wesley United Methodist Church. Friends and relatives are
invited to attend.
