Cemetery.

Mr Hankins died Saturday night
in Franklin County Memorial
Hospital from injuries received in an
automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 27, 1966, in
Paris, the son of L.G. Hankins and
Shirley Seawright Hankins.
He was a member of the Calvary-
Baptist Church and was employed
as an electrician’s helper with
Payne Electric.
Survivors include his parents, Mr
and Mrs L.G, Hankins of Sulphur
Springs; a brother. Mike Gibson of

Mrs. Pressman died Sunday at her
resident in Sedona, Ariz.
She was bom March 9, 1913, in
Yantis, the daughter of David and
Lummie Johnson Hathcox.
She was a former resident of
Yantis having later moved to Dallas.
She was a teacher and had taught in
Wood County and in California,
retiring in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was a graduate of Yantis High
School and East Texas State
University and a member of the
Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include her husband,
Lou Pressman of Sedona, Ariz.; two
brothers, Raymond Hathcox and
David Hathcox, both of Dallas;
three sisters, Nell Holder of Sulphur
Springs, Kathryn Faust of Dallas
and Faye Rodden of Farmers
Branch.
Mrs. Pressman was preceded in
death by two brothers, Del Ray
Hathcox and Julius Hathcox; and
two sisters, Ruth Leigh and Lucille
Bridges.

Mrs. Mitchell was a cook at the

NAACP, the Heroines of Jericho and
the Eastern Star.

Center. Burial was in Oaklawn
Memorial Park in Center.
Mr. Haley died Thursday in
Center following an extended illness.

daughters, Mrs. Jan Spencer of

Jackson of Mesquite.

Cravy, 58, of 827 Finney St., were
held Friday in the Farmer Funeral
Home chapel in Silsbee. Burial will
be in the Cunningham Cemetery in
Silsbee.
Mr. Cravy died Wednesday in
Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
He was bom April 9,1928, in Fred,
the son of Henry and Minnie Haynes
Cravy.
He was a Jehovah’s Witness and a
merchant marine. He was employed
as an offshore drilling worker. He
had resided in Sulphur Springs for
the past three months.
Survivors include three sons,
Ernest Cravy of Crosby, Ronny
Cravy of Dayton and Jerry Cravy of
Houston; a daughter, Janie
Smorado of Channelview; two
brothers. Bob Cravy of Silsbee and
Bronson Cravy of Ingelside; two
sisters, Bee Watts of Hull and Dovie
Menard of Beaumont; and nine
grandchildren.

Taylor, 40, of 125 Fore St., were held

Miss Holt died Tuesday at her

Sulphur Springs, the daughter of
Bufk and I,ena Hughes Holt.
She was a student at Pans Junior
College.

Mrs. Jackson died Friday, July 11,
in Baylor University Medical
Center, Dallas.
She was born July 21, 1902, in
Wood County, the daughter of
George Sims and Paralee McClure
Sims. Mrs. Jackson married Emory
Jackson at Emory in 1932. He
preceded her in death in 1967.
She was a homemaker and was a
member of Heroines of Jericho and
Prairie Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, George
Jackson of Dallas; a daughter,
Helen Jackson of Dallas; a sister,
Mrs. Willie Woosley of Emory; eight
grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren

Mrs. Riley died Saturday, in
Citizen’s General Hospital,
Greenville.
She was born Sept. 22, 1922, in
Miller Grove, the daughter of J.W.
Garrett and Bedie Lennon Garrett.
She married T.J. Riley Dec. 24,1949,
in Cumby. He survives of Miller
Grove.
Mrs. Riley received fi&^smaster's
degree from East Texas State
University and a business degree
from Draughan’s Business School.
She had been a teacher for 17
years having taught in Emory,
Bonanza, Rockwall and Garland
schools. She was a retired office
manager for Sun Oil Co.
Other survivors include two
brothers, Howard Garrett of
Bonanza and David M. Garrett of
Point.

Sulphur Springs, has been selected
for the National Dean’s List. She was
nominated at East Texas State
University for the prestigious honor
which recognizes academically gifted
students selected by their college
dean.
CARLYNE STEED will be going
back to Plano General Hospital for
medical treatment. Mrs. Steed
suffered leg injuries in a car accident
in December of 1985 in Dallas. Her leg
has rebroken and a new pin will be
implanted.
CHARLES EDWARD Gilbert of
Sulphur Springs is candidate for
graduation for the summer term
from Texas State Technical Institute

cises will be held at 7 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 15, in the Waco Convention
Center. Gilbert is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Gilbert of Sulphur
Springs and is a 1985 graduate of
