Both dresses were ordered from
MARCH
14-20
The Checkerboard windows
are a study in contrast this
week. In one window is
displayed the chic, modern,
up-to-date apparel that Sarah
Harris has become known for. In
the other window is an example
of what the well dressed young
lady of the 1800’s wore.
The two gowns displayed are
from the bridal trousseau of
Mrs. Clara Jackson Harris. The
wedding gown is of organdy
with gores of tucks and lace
insertion. A small hat was worn
with this gown. The second day
dress is of gray foille with a
cream colored chiffon basque
waist. There is a bolera effect of
foulard taffeta of violet and
white stripes. With this dress is
worn a black hat with black
Louisville, Kentucky and both
dresses have 21 inch waists.
Among the other articles in
the window is a pair of shoes
belonging to Mrs. Franks. The
Bible box displayed is from the
Earl Mayfield family. Mr.
Mayfield was a state senator in
the early 1900’s. This now
belongs to Mrs. Franks.
The 1800’s window is spon-
sored by the Woman’s Thursday
dub to help carry out the St.
Patrick’s Day theme.

Have Your Registered?
1976 will be an important election year for Texans.
Citizens will cast ballots for President, a United States
Senator, 24 Congressmen, and many state and local
officials. It would be regrettable if, on election day,
any citizen could not vote because he was not
registered.
Apathy, unconcern, indifference and the idea that one
vote does not count have caused a troublesome
situation which no pat formulas can rectify. However,
this office plans to make an effort to remedy this by
conducting a statewide campaign to inform Dublin
citizens on voter registration.
Use this voter registration application below - fill it out
and mail to your Erath County Tax Assessor-
Collector’s Office in Stephenville.
