Baptist Church will be

Services August 21-26
Sunday’s services will be
at 11 a m. and 7 p.m.,
with a covered dish
luncheon at noon.
Victor McManus will be
the evangelist for the
week and Rob Novak the
song leader. Victor is
known as “The Man from
Ireland.” He is noted for
his vivid. pictorial
preaching In his
ministry, the Bible seems
to come alive Old scenes
are re-enacted. The
prophets live again, and
Bible events seem to
have happened only
yesterday
The Green’s Creek
Church invites all to
worship with them in
these revival services.

between Dublin and
Stephenville, off the Old

first step in an infant
intervention program
Any parents who suspect
their infant may have any
delays in development or
any handicapping
/conditions may bring
their infant to a free
screening at the Pecan
Valley Infant Intervention
Office at 933 W
Washington. Stephen-
ville. between the hours
of 8 a m and 11 a m on
August 22. 1983
Infant Intervention
Services will be offered,
free of charge, to infants
who have delays in
speech, physical skills,
social skills, cognitive
abilities. and/or
functional living skills. „
Texas Senate Bill 630
authorized funds for
infant intervention
programs through the
Texas Interagency
Council a cooperative
effort of the Texas
Education Agency. Texas
Department of Health,
and Texas Department of
Mental Health Mental
Retardation The
Interagency Council has
created the Early
Childhood Intervention
Program which in turn
has awarded a grant to
Pecan Valley MHMR

selected Molly Templeton
and Kristie Pierel of
Dublin as finalists for
1983
Molly is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs Ben
Templeton and Kristie's
parents are Mr.and Mrs.
Marc Pierel.
The pageant will be
held at the AMFAC Hotel
in Dallas on September
3 and is the official state
finals for the Miss
National " Pre-Teen
Pageant to be held in
November
Contestants will be
judged on interview,
poise-personality, appear-
ance and talent

The Texas Department
of Health Region 5 Office
in Arlington announces
an immunization clinic to
be held in Stephenville at
Public Health Region 5
Sub-Office, 140 S. Loop,
on Tuesday, August 23,
1983 from 9 a m.-11:30
a m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
The clinic will provide
immunization against
Diphtheria-tetanus-per-
tussis (DPT), polio,
rubeola (red measles)
and rubella (German
measles), for infants 2
months through 18
years Precautions must
be taken with females in
the 12-18 age group to
insure that they are not
pregnant when they are
immunized with measles
and/or rubella vaccines,
and that they do not
become pregnant for
three months following
immunization.
Immunizations are
incomplete if a child has
not received three (3)
doses of DPT and polio
vaccine with at least one
dose administered past
the fourth birthday. All
children under 18 years
must have an informed
consent form read and
signed by the parent or
legal guardian. If
possible, the parent
should accompany the
child to the clinic.
Immunization records

Menu
should accompany the
child to the clinic and be
examined by the Public
Health nurse who will
answer any questions
The following children
would have
immunizations deferred:
1) Those acutely ill and
with fever;
2) Those taking
antibiotic treatment for an
acute illness, and
3) Those who have
completed antibiotic
treatment for an acute
illness, but have not been
pronounced well by their
physician
The department makes
no charge for the
immunizations.

that contribution
envelopes are available in
town for those who wish
to make contributions to
the American Cancer
Society These envelopes
are at Duncan Drug, Hall
& Cleveland Pharmacy,
City Hall, Harrell Funeral
Home, and Senior
Citizens Center.
These contributions
make many things
possible through research
for the treatment of
cancer

her 86th birthday with a did Mr and Mrs. Luthei
party last Saturday at her Allen and granddaughtei
home. Ten people were of Houston
present, including her
aunt Willie Magee, who is
89-years old
Mrs. Wallace (Jennie)
Anders, her daughter Jo
Ann and two children of
Eva Eoff. Mrs Allen's
sister, was there and her
brother. Tom La Baune
and wife of Monahans
came to visit
