high band students opened
summer camps for the
Tarleton Music Department
with registration and an
orientation session Sunday,
May31.
The camp concludes with
concerts on the night of
June 5.
Doug Fry, former band
director at Abilene Christian
University and Cisco Junior
College, will be clinician for
the camp.
He will be assisted by
band organizers Dayle Cox
of Paducah and Kerry Porter
of Corsicana;
Instructors for the camp
will be Don Halbrook,
DeLeon, and Ray Brooks,
Mineral Wells, high brass;
Barry Cudginton, Haskell,
low brass; Jim Perry,
Rockdale, tuba; Norman
Deisher, Mineral Wells,

Hugh Wolfe, lifetime
resident of Stephenville, has
been selected for induction
into the Tarleton State
University Athletic Hall of
Fame. -
The Athletic Hall of Fame
was started last year to
honor athletes who have
contributed to the success of
Tarleton Athletics both as a
junior college and a senior
college.
Wolfe really made his mark
at Tarleton in track.
Wolfe will be inducted into
the Athletic Hall of Fame
with twelve other honorees
on October 31 in conjunction
with Homecoming activities
on campus.
