THE MORE PICTURES
THE BETTER
This paper simply wants pic-
tures of all the youngsters and
the more, the better. So the mo-
thers and fathers of the community
in which this paper circulates
should remember the date Wed.,
Nov 11th bring their children to
the photographer.
You will be mighty glad after
wards, if you did and very very
sorry if you do not permit your
children to participate in this
event. The kiddies will have fun
and both mother and dad and
the youngsters too will be very
proud to see their pictures in print
later.

Cubs Furnish—
point.
Before the third quarter ended,
the Cubs’ No. 1 offensive unit
struck for its third touchdown of
the period. The drive started from
the Cub 20 with a pass from Al-
len to Ralph which was good for
20 yards. Allen, on the next play,
found his receivers covered, so
took off for a 35-yard gainer with
the aid of fine blocking by Tommy
White and other Cubs. The drive
continued with Haywood adding 6,
Allen aonther 5, Traylor 6, and
Haywood breaking for 12 and the
score. Extra point was slightly
wide.
Clifton’s No. 2 offensive unit
kept up the scoring in the final
quarter. Itasca failed to make a
needed yard on fourth down on its
own 35 early in the final quarter,
giving the Cubs excellent field
poistion. Billman pickup up a first
down to the Itasca 24; Johnny
Outlaw and Billman combined for
another first on the Wampus Cat
13; and Coffman picked up a first
down on the Itasca 3, with Outlaw
swinging out and across for the
score. Pass for extra point failed.

The Cubs had to overcome 20
yards of penalty for their final
touchdown. They took over on
their own 42, with Coffman start-
ing things roling with a 25-yard
scamper to Itasca's 22. Billman
and others gave him a lot of block-
ing on this fine run. Outlaw snag
ged a 13-yard pass to keep the
drive going. Brothers Marvin and
Bobby Coffman paired up for five
yards each and another first down
on the Wampus Cat 9. Billman
smashed for 7; Bobby Coffman
added one, and Outlaw slipped
through for the score. Try for point
failed. Final score, Clifton 52, Lias-
es 0.
Clifton’s strong defense stood
out. The front line and linebackers
smothered Itasca’s ground game,
allowing but one first down and a
total of 43 yards. The Cubs’ de-
fense against the Wampus Cat air
game was most impressive as Itas-
