Harry Womack and his brother,
,aincey Womack of Phillips, Texas,
drove to Bryan to visit their sister,
Mrs. Addie Giesenachlag, who has
been seriously ill. Mrs. Giesenschlag
is some improved and has been
moved from the hospital to her home.

Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Buck and chil-
dren, Susan, Sarah, and Jackie, of
Grand Prairie visited in the home of
Mrs. Buck’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Will Forson, this past Sunday and
Monday. Mr. Buck’s mother, Mrs. D.
M. Buck, accompanied them from
Grand Prairie.
Friends of Mrs. 6. E. Schow will be
glad to hear that she ds now able to
be up and about in her home in Dal-
las; Mrs. Schow after resting for a
number of days at the home of her
son, E. E. Schow, returned to Dallas
T about two weeks ago.
Carl Colwick of Stephenville and
N. M. Colwick of Durant, Okla., will
be able to keep up with some of the
happenings in Bosque County this
cjmin; year as they will receive the
Ciifton Record a3 a Christmas gift
from Clarence M. Colwick.

this past Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Mariey, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lind-
ley, Mrs. Helen Harter, Mt. and Mrs.
Allen Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Cleve-
land Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Rogers,
and Mrs. Hi' E. Garrett of Mart, and'
My. and Mrs. HatjHoy Reneau of.Waco.
MRS. GUSTAV WOLD PASSES
AWAY DECEMBER 16
Mrs. Anna Caroline (nee Ring-
ness) Wold, was bom of parents
John and Agnette Ringness, Nov. 10,
1877. She was baptized in the year
of her birth and confirmed June 4,
1893. She was united in marriage
with Gustav Adolph Wold, Dec. 16,
1902. To this union four children,
two boys and two girls, were bom:
Hans Wo)d, Fort Worth; Mrs. Alsada
Hand, Fort Worth; Mrs. Velma
Dugqn, Fort Worth; Eloyd passed
away in 1923.
There are also three grandchildren.
She leaves to mourn her passing
these, together with her husband, Mr.
Gustav Wold, and the following
brothers and sisters: Johnnie, Cran-
fills Gap; Oscar, Martin, Eddie and
Selmer of the Norse and Clifton com-
munities; Mary and Alice; Gena, who
was Mrs. Otto Pederson, patesed away
in 1823.
These together with many other
relatives and friends mourn her
early loss.
Monday, Dec. 16,, was the 44th
Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. Wold. She was feeling much
better that day, likewise on Tuesday
morning. About one there was
suden change and she passed away
soon after.
Funeral services were held from
the home Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 1:30,
and from St. Olaf Lutheran Church
at 2:00 pjm. with Rev. B. R. Maake-
stad officiating. The hymn, “Be-
neath the Cross of Jesus,” was sung
by Mrs. B. R. Maakestad and {Mrs.
Clyde Tindall.
Interment was in St. Olaf Lutheran
Cemetery. In addition to the pres-
ence of many loved ones and friends,
together with fitting floral pieces, a
memorial in the amount of $5.00 was
given to the St. Olaf Lutheran Sunday
School Memorial Building Fund by
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Johnson and
boys.

Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Smith of Citron-
ville, Ala., drove in this week to spend
Christmas with Mr. Smith’s mother,
Mrs. Alex Anderson, and other Clif-
ton friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Raley of Waco
visited with Mrs. Raley’s mother, Mrs.
S. J. Tennison, and brother, L. E.
Tennison, and the latter’s family the
past week-end.

Davis Simmons and Eugene Simmons
drove to Dallas Wednesday to spend
Christmals day With Mr. and Mrs.
Leroy Simmons.

Mrs. C. A. Orbeck and daughter,
Catherine Ann, have taken advantage
of the holidays at TCU to spend this
week in Clifton with their husband
and father, C. A. Orbeck.

Monday morning for Oklahoma City,
Okla., where they will spend Christ-
mas with Mrs. Weatherford’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Duncan.

sending the Record as a Christmas
M. O. Juel, left last Friday by train 'kift to their daughter, Mrs. C. H.
Long in Lawrence, Kansas, for the
coming year. Dr. Long is teaching at
the college in Lawrence.
for Denver, Colorado, where she will
spend Christmas with her daughter,
Mrs. Alice Tollefson.

Miss Doris Polk, who recently re-
ceived her discharge from the Waves,
has been visiting relatives and friends
in Clifton. Miss Polk has been sta-
tioned in Washingto, D. C.

Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Schulz of Waco
have been visiting their parents, the
Hugo Schulzs and W. E. Mitchells,
this past week. Mr. Schulz is a stu-
dent at Baylor University.

A baby girls was born on December
10 to Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Hoefs of
Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Hoefs is the daugh-
ter of Mrs. Neal G. Grimland of Waco
who formerly lived in Clifton.

daughter, Patricia, of Dallas, and Mr.
and Mrs. Hubert Brown and children,
Judie and Jimmie, of Fort Worth,
were in Clifton the early part of the
week to visit with the Brown brothers’
father, J. S. Brown, and their sister,
Mrs. Will Forson and her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ellingson and
daughter, Sarah Jane, came over
from Waco to spend Christmas with
their mothers, Mrs. Alma Swenson
and Mrs. C. E. Ellingson.
Miss Louise Standefer arrived home
last week from Detroit to spend the
Christmas holidays with her father,
R. W. Standefer. Miss Standefer made
the trip by plane, and spent Sunday
afternoon and Monday in Chicago due
to a big snow storm which hit Chicago
Sunday causing all planes to be
grounded, and all flights were can-
celled until Monday night.
