near Cranfills Gap. Last Sunday
morning the 0. J. Jensons, Ken-
neth Larson, and the Lee Larsons
and Dickie attended the christen-
ing services at 8:15 o'clock in the
Christ American Lutheran Church
at Waco for Annette Renee Stan-
ford, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
W. D. Stanford, of Waco, and a
granddaughter of the Lee Larso is.
Mr. and Mrs. 0. J. Jenson, Kenn< th
Larson, and Dickie Larson served
as the young lady’s sponsors. The
folks then all enjoyed dinner in
the Larson home near Clifton.

Mrs. Lillian Paseman spent Wed-
nesday of last week in Liberty Hill
with her niece and nephews. Mrs.
Velma Whitted and Mr. and Mrs.
Jess Humphries. Mr. and Mrs. O-
lin Humphries, of Austin, also vi-
sited with her while she was there.
Reverend Jimmy Shaffer, of Has-
kell, and Reverend and Mrs. David
Jorgenson and children, Kim and
Kris, of Stamford, visited last
week with Mr. and Mrs. William B.
Bertelsen. Reverends Shaffer and
Jorgenson went on* to Seguin to
attend a church workers’ institute.
They came hack here last Saturday,
at which time they all returned to
their homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Barnes, of Big
Spring, announce the birth of a
daughter, Kay Lynn, last week.
Mrs. Barnes is the former Miss
Marilyn Kay Johnson, a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. (Si) John-
Mrs. William B. Bertelsen, Mrs.
Jack Shepherd, Mrs. David Sum-
mers and granddaughter, and Mrs.
Orville Olson helped Mrs. Ruell
Solberg celebrate her birthday
Thursday morning of last week.
Refreshments of cake, cookies,
sandwiches, and coffee were ser-
ved.

and attended funeral services for
Sanders Tergerson. Visiting Sun
day in the Tergerson home were
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Tergerson and
son, Richard, of Fort Worth, and
Gordon Walk, of Dallas. The Cedi

parents, the Matt Reesings, in Clif-

last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Shrader, of

Obituary Is Given
Funeral services for T. S. Ter-
gerson, aged 84 years, 10 months,
and 15 days, well-known resident of
Cranfills Gap, were held at 2:00
o’clock on Thursday afternoon,
June 18, in the St. Olaf Lutheran
Church there conducted by the
pastor, Reverend Marvin O. Ott-
ipera.
Mr. Tergerson, the father of Mrs.
Everett W. Wallace and William
Tergerson, of Clifton, died at ap

Soon after the death of his wife
Mr. Tergerson moved to the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Barton Peder-
son, in Cranfills Gap, where he
continued to reside until he be-
came ill on May of this year.
Mr. Tergerson was an active
member of the St. Olaf Lutheran
Church at Cranfills Gap for many
years. He helped construct the pre-
sent church building, served on
various church boards, and also
sang in the church male chorus
for a number of years.
This fine gentleman also long
