People who live along or use the

was learned this past week that
one or morg of the lots in the Clifton
Cemetery had been robbed of
shrubbery. For those who give their
efforts toward making the final rest-
ing place of their loved ones a quiet
and beautiful plot, it is a real shock
to find vandals who will steal from
the dead. If it is possible to catch
such characters the courts should
show them no mercy.

While in the Record office this
Clifton visitors in Valley'Mills
have noticed the recent topping that
a number of their streets have re-
ceived; it is understood that this was
brought about by an arrangement be-
tween the city and the road contrac-
tor who topped the road between Val-
ley Mills and Crawford at a very rea-
sonable figure. Possibly our city of-
ficials will be able to make a similar
arrangement when the road between
Clifton and Womack is topped; such
would give Clifton much needed street
improvement and. a great deal less
dust in the summer.

Clifton Is the nearest town to the
road work soon to start on the ex-
tension of highway 22 to the Whitney
Dam site and to the west side of the
Dam proper; workers connected with
the road construction and the dam
are by now accustomed to going into
areas where no housing is available
and have in many cases house trailers
for their families and themselves. As
yet Clifton has made no provision to
provide any facilities for trailers;
some have asked as to the costs of
installing the necessary utility con-
nections in the city park for a trailer
camp. It would seem the cost might
be small in comparison to the advan-
tage to the town from such project
during the next four years.
CARD OF THANKS
We wish to use this means of ex-
pressing our gratitude for the many
acts of kindness extended to us during
the illness and after the death of our
beloved mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother, Mrs. E. P. Rohne.
Your kind acts of friendship, your
many memorials and 'beautiful floral
offerings have touched our hearts
more than we can find words to ex-
press.
May God in His infinite wisdom
bless and keep you.

We want the good people in the community to know we appreciate
the fine business you have given our prescription department and the
spirit in which you accepted our inability to fill prescriptions contain-
ing narcotics because of the delay in the arrival of our narcotic li-
cense—a delay we had not anticipated, which interfered with filling
of many prescriptions for the treatment of influenza.
We are now able to furnish your complete Prescription needs—
promptly and efficiently—including the refilling of your old pre-
scription regardless of date or place of original filling. Your con-
tinued business will be appreciated.
