learn that Mrs. Jesse M. White, of
this city, had been a patient in the
local hospital since Thursday of

ter, Mrs. Edward Tipton, and other

Mrs. Bob Hiuke, sponsor of the
Methodist Youth Fellowship of the
First Methodist Church in Clifton,
•nd Mrs. Clyde Turner were in
Glen Rose on Friday night, October
2, where they attended a Workers'
Training Conference at Glen Lake
Camp. Mrs. Hauke and Charlotte
Turner, local MYF president, re-
turned to Glen Lake the following
day to attend additional sessions of
the conference.
According to Mr*. Hauke, the
next MYF meeting to be held at
the Pint Methodist Church hong
at 6:00 o'clock on Sunday night,
October 11, will feature a different
type of program. At that time a
round-table discussion will take
place concerning the subjects fea-
tured during the Glen Lake Work-
ers' Training Conference.

The Upper Bosque Watershed
Program was discussed and detail-
ed surveys had been started on Site
13 on September 8, 1964. Some five
other sites will be surveyed this
year.
A great deal of interest has been
expressed in forming another
Watershed District on the North
Bosque River. Several meetings
have been held at Clifton in the
last few weeks. Local interest will
be the determining factor whether
another District is organised.
Supervisors of the Bosque Soil
Conservation District held their
regular monthly meeting at
Stephenville on Thursday, Septem-
ber 10, 1964. Supervisors elected at
Morgan Mills was set for Tuesday,
October 6, 1964, at 7:30 P.M. Plans
for attendance at the Supervisors
State meeting were discussed. Re-
servations were made for rooms.
Plans are te leave on October 28th.
Discussion of the Brush Problem
in Texas and in particular the Bos-
que Soil Conservation District was
led by Irvin Poff, Area Conserva-
tionist. The Soil Conservation Serv-
ice is interested in assisting te
developing plans to control brush
and to get grass beck on the land.
