Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cole moved
to Clifton from Goldthwaite approx,
imately two weeks ago, and Mr.
Cole has opened Cole’s Blacksmith
and Welding Shop on North High-
way 6 in a new 30-foot by 60-foot
building he recently completed.
The Coles are living in the home
at 613 North Avenue N, which they
purchased from Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Howard. They have one grown son,
David Cole, who resides in Fort
Worth.
Mr. Cole said that he operated a
blacksmith and welding shop in
Goldthwaite for 28 years prior to
moving to Clifton. They decided to
come here because they were im-
pressed with the town, its people,
and its location.
Everyone welcomes Mr. and Mm.
Cole as new citizens.

FACE LIFTING IS COMPLETED—Adding to the
altractivcness of the downtown business area of Clif-
ton is the Community Public Service Company build-
ing's new front of grid aluminum and brick, which
is pictured above. As can be seen a night deposit
box also has been added.
Remodeling operations for the company, located
at 115 North Avenue D here, included both the out-
side and inside of the building. Will L. Forson, local
contractor, began thp remodeling job late in October
and completed it this month.
As a result of the remodeling the front portion of
the building’s interior was divided into new offices
for customer service, the local manager, the division
sales manager, the division engineer, and company
records. A larger year-around air conditioning unit
was installed, as well as new lighting and ceilings in
most of the building’s interior.
T. F. Crawford is local manager of the CPS Com-
pany here, and Cecil P. Coston heads the company’s
Central Division, in which Clifton is located.
