a daughter of Mr. Miears and a sis-
ter of Mrs. Jones.

Personal Shower Dec. 24
At 10:00 o'clock on Tuesday
morning, December 24, Miss Zeda
Anne Jameson, bride-elect of Mr.
Wally Ludtke, was honored by
Misses Mary Nell Hoel and Miriam
Thompson and Mrs. William R.
Kettler with a personal shower In
the home of Miss Hoel’a parents,
Mr, and Mrs. Calvert H. Hoel, on
Route 1, Clifton.
Miss Jameson, a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. M. B. Jameson, of Star
Route 1, Clifton, and Mr. Ludtke,
a son of Mrs. Martha Ludtke, of
Clifton, will be married at 6:30
o’clock on Saturday night, January
29, at the First Presbyterian Church
in this city. Both are students at
the University of Houston.
For the courtesy December 24
the party rooms carried out the
Christmas motif. Guests, who in-
cluded the honoree’a former school-
mates and close friends, were
asked to register by Misses Ruthy
Hoel, of Clifton, and Glenda Hoel,
of Gruver.
Laid with a red Christmas cloth,
the refreshment table* was center-
ed with a white wedding bell and
redbird arrangement. Miss Jo Ann
Hoel, of Arlington, poured coffee
and hot tea. Also on the delicious
refreshment list were Christmas
cookies and party sandwiches. Each
guest received a Santa Claus nut
cup as a favor.
The bride-elect also was present-
ed with a corsage by the hostesses.

Guests in the A. G. Amundson
home on Christmas Day were Mr.
and Mrs. H. H. Landua, Jodie
Amundson, Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Amundson and children, Deborah
and David, and Mrs. Ida Grimm,
who lives with hef daughter and
family, of this city; Mr. and Mrs.
June Blum and Milton Louis
Amundson, of Cranfills Gap; Mr.
and Mrs. Clinton Stanford and
children, of Grand Prairie; Richard
Grimm and Herman Landua Jr., of
Dallas; and A 4/c and Mrs. John
F. Amundson and daughter, Nancy
Jo, of Aurora, Colorado. All of the
Amundsons’ grandchildren were
there for the day. Children who
could not be present were James
Amundson, of Brady, T/Sgt. David
Amundson, who is in Germany, and
T/Sgt. Alfred Amundson and his
wife, who are in the Philippines.
The John F. Amundsons remained
here a week visiting with home
folks'
Glenn Reesing, Gene Albrecht,
and Stephen Hester enjoyed the
holidays here with their par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reesing,
Mr. and Mrs. Leo L. Albrecht, and
Mrs. W. W. Raster, and with other
home folks. They are students at
The University of Texas in Austin.
CHS Class Of 1953
Has Reunion Dec. 28
Charlie’s Cafe in this city was
the scene for a reunion of several
members of the Clifton High School
Class of 1953 and their families
on Saturday night, December 28.
The gathering started at 6:00
o’clock that night, and later a de-
licious supper, consisting of chick-
en fried steak, creamed potatoes,
gravy, green beans, fruit salad, hot
rolls, coffee, tea, and cherry tnrta,
was served the group.
Several letters ana pictures from
classmates unable to be present
werte passed among the former
classmates. Much conversation oc-
curred concerning happenings dur-
ing the last ten years, with the
time passing much too fast It was
regretted that all of the members
of the 1953 class could not have
attended.
Mrs. Louis M. Reed, Dr. Don
Gloff, Oen Dell Dollins, and Leon
Stacha were appointed to plan the
next class reunion.
Present for the enjoyable occas-
ion were Mrs. Louis M. Reed, of
El Paso, Dr. and Mrs. Don Gloff,
of Dallas, Mr. and Mr*. Oen Dell
Dollins and son, George, of Joiner-
ville, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stacha, of

RETURNS FROM NEW GUINEA
Kenneth Jenson, a son of Mr., and
Mrs. Jim Jenson, of Star Route,
Cranfills Gap, returned home Dec-
ember 14 following two years spent
aa a teacher with a Lutheran Mis-
sion in New Guinea. Prior to re-
turning home Mr. Jenson enjoyed
a four-month tour of Europe, the
Middle East, and the Holy Land.
He will teach speech and drama
at Richfield High School in Waco
during the next school term.

went to Cameron on Saturday, Dec-
ember 21, where at 7:00 o’clock
that night in the First Presbyterian
