According to the Texas Highway-
Department, tourists are flocking to
Texas During the first six months of
1986 some 1.9 million visitors stopped
for travel information at the 12 tourist
bureaus around the state This
represents a 17.6 percent increase
over the same period last year Willis
Albarado. the department’s tourist
bureau chief, reported that the
bureaus served more visitors in the
fist six months of 1986 than in all of
1975, which shows how much the
travel industry has grown during the
past decade.
The chamber is currently collec-
ting information on local sites and
businesses that may be promoted in
the travel industry. If you have infor-
mation and time to contribute to this
project please let us know because we
want to promote all of the good
qualities of Dublin.
