Resident Here Since
1919, Dies Dec. 14
A respected Clifton resident sin-
ce 1919, Mrs. W. A. Hanna, aged
90 years, 7 months,, yepd 26 days, |
died at 10.58 o’clock pa Monday
night, December 14, in Hie local
hospital, following a short illness.
Mrs. Hanna, who had been act-
ive and had enjoyed good health
well past her 90th birthday, sus-
tained a fall and a subseauent
h"art attack at 1:30 o'clock Tues-
day morning, December 1, She
then was taken to the local hospi-
tal where she seemed to be making
a fine recovery until her condi-
tion became worse last Saturday, j
One of the four daughters of
the late B. F. and Elizabeth Kin-
ney, Mrs. Ida Josephine Kinney
Hanna was born at Naples, Illinois,
on April 19, 1874. When she was
a year old, she moved to Meridian
with her family, who settled on a
farm north of that city. Mrs. Han-
na was reared there and attended
the nearby Grapevine School
She was married to William A-
lexandcr Hanna, also of near Me-
ridian, on November 1, 1894. To
their marriage were born eight
children, six of whom preceded
Mrs. Hanna in death — two sets
of twins, another child, and a
daughter, Daisy (Mrs. Roy Mof-
fatt), of Hico, in 1930.
During the first 25 years of their
marriage Mr. and Mrs. Hanna
were engaged in farming near
Meridian. It was on August 2,
1919, that the Hanna family moved
to Clifton, which has remained the
family home.
Mr. Hanna operated a restaur-
ant in Clifton until he was forced
to retire in 1926 because of ill
j health. He also was a popular e-
j lection official in Clifton for many
I vears before his death on May 30.

for faithful service. It is expected
that 21 of the letter winners will
return to the Waco university for
the 1965 season.
Of the 39 lettermen first letters
were received by 17 players, of
which 11 were sophomores.

Ernest Erickson, of Clifton. Ernest
is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Erickson, of Route 2, Clifton.

Make Only One
Round Next Week
To Collect Garbage

Mr Harris said the City truck
would run on Monday. Tuesday,
and Wednesday covering neighbor-
hoods in the customary order for

Harris also pointed out that on
the following week this same sche-
dule will be observed again due
to the New Year holidays, al-
